  • 8 Mile Road Yeeeeh

  • The Best Rapper In The World Me Is My Favorite Rapper Lose It Yourself Video Liked Im Am

  • Detroit and Cleveland are really underrated cities. I'm from Chicago and there is a lot of interesting historical attractions and decent culture to experience in both Detroit and Cleveland.

  • Well done FWJ you didn't miss your chance with the edits on this song. My 65 year old uncle is a HUGE Eminem fan and I know his music through him, this is one of his best songs, the others are too risqué to mention and remain a lady, lol. Well done and of course a Copperplate shout out - if you can talk about fonts, you can talk to everyone, lol, let's not forget the great Gil Sans for the end notes and Brush Script for the finale... ;.)

  • @0marigolds Thank you much and good eye on the fonts :) I will admit to being somewhat inspired by the Chrysler 200 comercial for this one. Glad you liked it.

  • great :)

  • @krawiec5001 Thanks!

  • Just amazing man !... I watch this again and again !!! Just amazing !!!

  • @fiero2 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it!

  • lol i love eminem. awesome song pick. =]

  • @lilsweets4u22 Thank you!

  • Nice. I like "Lose Yourself."

  • These parts of Detroit look really nice !

  • haha, didn't expect Lose Yourself

but i think that you should use the song My Flame by Bobby Caldwell in one of your videos (if you haven't already)

  • @lyricsfromsweden I like Bobby Caldwell and that's a good song but I don't see it working well with a video, too mellow. And if I did do something that required a song that mellow I would probably go with an instrumental but thanks for the suggestion.

  • I would have enjoyed a longer trip downtown but as usual your videos are beautiful

  • @terenzioberni Thanks!

  • The music was sick!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful! I hope that GDOT and the local Metro ATL gov'ts watch this video for an excellent example of traffic signal timing! It's not a hard concept! I don't understand why ATL is so far behind in this matter. It's bad enough the arterials suck without taking the signals into account, but then you have to sit through EVERY damn light down here. Every time I go to Detroit, I am reminded of this.

    Thanks again Jim and son

  • @MossbergSlim313 Thanks, and I agree!

  • @MossbergSlim313 Minneapolis could take some lessons from Detroit about signal timing as well. I hit a red light 90-95% of the time here. No joke.

  • A great video, so talented, the Freeway Jim-nius !

  • @BaronPhilippe Thank you!

  • Poor Detroit, the Motor City, i hope that in future it will became like it was in the past...

  • awesome video, thanks, you can see the misfortune of detroit by its empty streets, hope things get better

  • @bsdpowa Hope so too, I'll be honest, not having been of the freeway before it looked much better than I thought it would.

  • If Windsor may have a hetic night life, what I remember from 90ties is that the "greektown" area of Detroit was also known for such nightlife, (and unfortunately, only part of Detroit having by the way a night life). Will you make a ride in this town section?

  • @aliesander I did not do any other videos off the freeways.

  • @Freewayjim I beleive Greektown is not a freeway area, but rather narrow streets. :-)

  • countless green lights, I love that.

  • @aswchris No doubt, I got pretty lucky there!

  • yes there is a light rail planned,,great vid jim from the university district, fox town to C M park area, the route you see in those Chrysler Commericals, this route of m-1 is also used as the Woodward Dream Cruise in Oakland County from Pontiac to 8 Mile

  • @fgjr96way I will admit to being inspired by that commercial :)

  • Awesome video!

  • @727JeffN Thanks!

  • And I knew it was going to be this song. Good work with the editing.

  • @rickhh1 Thank you!

  • 4:55 - Comerica Park promoting Kid Rock, another Detroit metro-born musician.

  • 5:18 A boy named Suh

  • ye nigga i love this.

  • Is Detroit as run-down as everyone makes it out to be? I take it you did not go through the tunnel and enter Canada. Maybe on another trip?

  • @broadhurst04 I didn't think Detroit was that run-down, at least from what I saw. I did not go to Canada, no reason to really as I don't think there's anything to see/film in Windsor.

  • @Freewayjim: Windsor has a pretty nice downtown...the nightlife there can be fairly hectic, too! You can also get some bad ass views of downtown Detroit with the camcorder...just ideas for your next trip to Motown.

  • There's a plan to put a Light Rail line down this street.

  • @PanzerVIZeke Interesting, I did not know that.

  • Awesome vid! Not a huge fan of Eminem but he IS from the D!

  • @dave11686 Thanks and my sentiments exactly!

  • Cant have Detroit with Eminem just like you cant have a Alabama video without Sweet Home Alabama

  • @MixedBreedE Ah but you can't use Sweet Home in an Alabama video because it'll get taken down by the big bad music company :P

  • @Freewayjim im suprised they dont do that with Eminem, what gets me going with the big bad music companies, are when you use it in the way you are doing it, and many others, your most the time getting there music shared with people who normally wouldnt know or listen to it, so technically you are promoting them for free and they want to sue, or take down your videos and all that whoblah

  • @MixedBreedE I agree.

  • Gracias por el paseo y los apuntes de la historia

  • yes eminems from detroit
