I have MS and believe in God. I thank God for MS. If I didn't get it I would be dead by now. I also had no ability to look at the world and really appreciate it for what it is before MS. I have done more good for people since I have gotten MS than I ever did before it. The one thing I noticed was a very selfish friend of mine thanked God for me and my MS because he had to change into a good person. A lot of good came from my MS as it happens with other horrid diseases. Praise God!!

I agree with you Chris! Thank God for people like yourself, who are going through such a debilitating disease and perceive it as a blessing. I happen to be one myself, not with MS, but with a genetic disorder that causes excessive tumor growths on the inside of the body. Some of the tumors turn into cancer. Having these types of health issues should not be looked upon negatively, but positively. Good can come from bad. It depends on how you look at it. God Bless You, Chris!

The one main way to stop the spread of this disease to to have yourself checked for it if you have a relative with it. Unfortunately there is no cure, but that doesn't mean a your child should suffer from it when they grow older.

The disease itself isn't fatal. About a third of them die from pneumonia, then there's heart failure, choking, malnutrition, basically a lot of shit associated with not being able to move. There's also an increased suicide rate.

Yes and no. Although we don't know how alert and oriented a person with dementia really is, clinical manifestations show that they are not there; hence demented. HD is a dementia causing disease, so the person has devastating deterioration in mental functions and abilities. So basically they're not really all there, not the healthy mind trapped in a failing body. That's ALS (lou gehrics disease). Crazy people are don't know that they're crazy, or going crazy.
