I agree with the person who said that the old man isn't his dad, but him in the future. What gave it away is 1) The picture & 2) How the old guy fades away at the end because he decided not to cheat, thus changing his fate.

Had he been the father both pictures would reflect twenty years of aging. Plus, the old man disappears when the right choice has been made.

Great song, great video... but the singer needs to return his style to John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, circa 1995. It was a little distracting.
