Because it is not trying to be those games. Rockband was a rip off of GH and GH was A rip off of Guitaroo man. Atleast this did something original and didn't cost a fortune for a bit of frantic music action. I like it more than GH and RB because it is unique and not just the same music game with new songs. It is songs, each done in 5 genres of music...

Rock, Hip hop, Latin, Marching band and Country. Hearing "Master Exploder" by Tenacious D in Latin or Marching band style was HILARIOUS! get it!

no it doesnt- if u have a good team with good weapons- im playign it liek 5mins ago it rocks but its copy of guitar hero tht all- besides not with guitar and u dont have buttons- ok i luv guitar hero adn ive played all 3 versions and im saying that battle of the bands is easier but guitar hero is funner!

so yeah try both and c wat suits u cauz personly i like both- but black betty with a hip-hop group and a roack group sounds aweseome:P

I've been playing GH for 4 months, I have already beaten Through The Fire And Flames on Expert a few times and can beat it consistently. I prefer GH VERY much, and in my opinion, this is a bit of a crappy game (look up the review in Game Informer, it is also on the website gameinformer . com (remove spaces) search Battle Of The Bands and go under Reviews. Trust me.
