Cool, reminds me of a Mythbuster activitity they did; they got a normal electric water heater tank, removed the relief valve and thermostat, filled it up with water, plugged up all entries and turned it on, 30mins later,.,,,,,, explosion, dangerous but awesome the tank flew up in the air:D
@Aussie50 I use to file some down and burn it (with a welding mask:) ;for the sake of chemistry, prolly u and jagnut would have fun with sacrificial anodes if you would:D
Is this another one of those wall mounted water heaters from drinks? If these things aren't designed for use with mains pressure water to they need to be connected to a pipe or tap with a regulator on them? I liked the sounds the tank made.
@TehMG Its at Brad's place and I know they run tank water and a pump in addition to the mains, so I dunno if it was mains or pump pressure we were running!.
I knw one place my dad used to stay at, you'd swear they had the Titanic's bilge pump out back, the water pressure was insane!
You could still keep it as a redneck sprinkler or something

There was a related incident over here recently, a big coffee machine in a cafeteria went bang, caused a scary amount of damage, people hurt etc.

@Aussie50 Cool, I would too, but I live next to a Primary School :(
It actually took 50minutes:D .....I think water tank sacricficial anodes are made of magnesium, they make good companions with fire
:D Thanks

@BiLock102 lol I used to take a file to the MG rods as a kid and mix the filings with potassium permanganate powder :D

@Lachlant1984 yeah its a cafeteria water heater, their designed to be regulated or open fed (no outlet obstruction)

14 bar = 188.5 PSI
How the heck did you get water pressure that high? Did you tweak or bypass the pressure regulator?
Around here mains water is regulated down to about 60-80 PSI before the meter.

@TehMG lol where i live if you crank the meter all the way you can get almost 150 pounds.but we got booster pumps tho
