im getting it tpnight. i've played the demo on xbl, and i was impressed and wanted more. as much as i lovee need for speed, this gamebrings me back to the old days of street racing where you dont have to tune your car up to havea good time. its like today's concept of free roam put together with yesterday's of driving regular cars with stock paint =D

it is arcade, but u can download a realistic mode.

It's semi-arcade, and the so called "Hardcore" mode is build-in, but you have to unlock it first.

But hardcare is a simulation of driving on the moon and don't feel realistic to me in any way.

"Normal" mode + racing-aids off is imo more of a simulation.

Besides TDU was/is a bugfest with awful netcode and netcode based physics-bug.

The graphics are reasonably bad, but forgivable for an 06 game, and the fact that the island is huge (hence the trees and bushes that always turn to face you). But i LOVE this game. One of the best buys i ever had. Well, this AND grid.

Just got it the other day after reading a review. The in car view is extreemly detailed and i love the fact that you actually use your mirrors. Like the dude said though it just seems to be lacing something. but if your just one of them peeps that want to just race and drive i would defo recomend it. i like a good story in a game but its nice to have a change everyonece in a while.
