@flash453 I bought the Asus laptop replacement keyboard online at the "Asus estore". YouTube won't let me post links in the comments but it's us . estore . asus . com without the spaces. Sometimes they have parts, sometimes they don't. If you can't find what you're looking for, give them a call 510-791-3705 or hit up eBay.
@dekiller233 Unfortunately I don't know on this laptop. I do know, however, that lots of times the CMOS battery in a notebook doesn't look like your standard workstation variety (the silver button kind). They come in all shapes and sizes. See: h**p://shopping*microbattery*com/s.nl/sc.2/category.763/.f?mbcat=laptp17
Happy hunting! Sorry about the URL above (replace all the * - YouTube won't let me link)
Unfortunately the rice trick didn't work and the keyboard is gone. I had to order another one from China. Oh well, it does work for other applications like cell phones and other electronic components.
This morning I spilled a huge cup of coffee right onto the keyboard. I flipped over the laptop and put it on the ground to help get some of the coffee out, but much stayed in there. After seeing your video, I was easily able to disassemble the keyboard and rinse it out. Hopefully after drying it out in a bag of rice it will work again.
Thanks for posting! Even if it doesn't work now I able to replace the keyboard. YOUTUBE FOR THE WIN!!!
@Marcuszhong Glad to hear it and figure many Asus N81 users might be able to use this to replace their keyboards as well. Very happy to hear this helped.

@dpurdy01 How'd it turn out? I've only tried the rice trick (with mixed results) on a cell phone.
