@sturgis007 This was at Ozzfest and after priest had already played, Ozzy became very ill...he asked Halford to step in because he didn't want to cancel the show...I think it's awesome...Those fans got to see something that no one else will ever see.

But in my oppinion Halford has more raw power...and he can obviously sing Dio songs live,while Dio couldnt possibly sing any Priest song to sound agressive/Halford style.

Alot of them have to put their egos aside and just give fans random performances that they'd like to see (like Rob singing a couple of tunes with Black Sabbath or Dave Mustaine playing something other than "Am I Evil" with Metallica...like "Phantom Lord" or "Four Horsemen"), but wouldn't expect.

Rob has 16 w/priest. Maiden 15 and ozzy has 19 in tottal 11 solo and 8 w/sabbath. Dont know about any metal singer who has been able to achieve 3 classic influential albums with 3 diffrent bands. 1. Rainbow/Rising 2.Sabbath/heaven and hell 3. Dio/holy diver. Thats why his the King of Metal! thank you!

Rob had quit Priest at this point I think. According to the book 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - The Battle Of Black Sabbath', Tony approached Halford about joining the band for a sort of "Best Of" tour, where Gillan and Hughes and as Tony hoped, Ozzy too would be a part of, playing songs from every era, w. different members, past & present at the time. It unfortunatly never happened though.
