-install "MobiMB v3.6.1(Portable)"

-in MobiMB select Preferences -> Connections -> CA-42 cable (COM3 - Prolific USB-to-Serial, or any other which works)

Great video, very helpful. The 1680 is compatible with Nokia PC Suite 7.1.18 or earlier - 7.1.18 is available through torrent sites when I am writing this.

The latest upgrade of Nokia PC Suite does not appear to work with the Nokia 1680. I currently use Version 7.1.16.0 as seen in the demo.

A work around may be to install the current version from their site

then email me and I can send you the folders in .rar format from my version since I do not have the installer from the original download.

I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!! i have a data cable.. fitted to my 1680 n phone. but my pc cant detect the it.. T__T i already installed all possible drive installer. none works for it.. help help!!!

What is the exact name of data cable you used?

I'm asking because, on web-page in 'more info' there are CA-50 cables which should be compatible with 1680 according to their description.

But according to pictures shown for each cable majority of them obviously can't be sticked in 1680's mini usb slot.

Please explain and pardon my bad english.

i just brought a data cable.

i have installed the PC Suite which came from the nokia philippines site.

then i have also installed the driver on your website. but still it does not work. when i do manage connections, there are still no "Nokia 1680c-2b" displayed. but when i am in My Computer, there is a Nokia Phone Browser icon there but i cannot do anything, there are no other options there. hope you could help me

Mind publishing the version of PC Suite that you used? I can't get this to work, not sure if it is the newer PC Suite or what...

I'm using Nokia PC suite 7 26 - I just checked and most Global Nokia sites are using 7 30 version.

I tried unloading my version to google sites but the file is 20 mb zipped.

Like you said it's a phone with limitations, I'mnot aware if you can set the volume for mp3, I know you can mute the volume for videos if you click the options button in video. Glad you got it woking now go and customize your phone!

Thanks but I fix the problem! I instaled the MobiMB Mobile Media Browser (the last version), and the Usb it worked.Next of this, the Nokia PC Suite worked!.I am Happy!, jajaja very nice economic phone!It has all but is very limitated!.but it amuses!.Thank for this exelent video!

hey dude its me again ..ive already installed the pfolic something .. and my usb connectorr are now running..ready to used and installed ,,STILL i cant see my phone memory.. is there some driver i have to download again..?? is it really true that i dont have to change any setting on my phone??

This cable has a chipset in it that requires specific drivers. The ones I got did not work for my XP OS and they were from the manufacturers site. But I searched online for drivers with chipset for prolific usb cable and that worked.
