I have some inexpensive bose speakers and I can feel the effect of this type of music. I listen to it during meditation and it feels great. I can feel the waves in my entire body. I don't see why they always say you have to use headphones. I don't like headphones, i find them distracting and uncomfortable.

@julianpjohnson headphones are used to the the full effect of the Binaural Beats...but yes, very good speakers positioned correctly can be used in the same way...which are the result on the interaction of two different auditory impulses, originating in opposite ears. ie 400 Hz in the right ear and 410 Hz sent simultaneously to the left ear gives you an amplitude modulated standing wave of 10 Hz = perceived as an auditory beat...blessings
