  • its in the album title

  • i like this son...

  • Uma Merda

  • 0:00-0:45♥

  • WE MISS YOU Aaron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i used to hate myself, and a friend showed me this and i totally changed my mind, how can the world have so much hate and still have such beatifull at the same time?

  • @Jose199509

Not to be rude...but if you hate yourself one song is not going to turn it around i tried killing myself last year....and im still fucking horrible

  • @snmaster56 i tried too along time ago but maybe u just didnt get as shocked as i did with this type of lyrics and also maybe u need some professional help

  • RAAAAAAAAAH RAH

    GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

  • I'm a fan of underoath post chasing safety, but this is still a beautiful song

  • they are not playing at boney junes. Comeback Kid is. and even thought they are on tour with them, UnderOath is not playing.

  • i loved this band as soon as they came out till this day! Underoath ftw!

They inspired me and now im writing songs that actually sound good :D

    My band youtube chanel: Screamingisfun67

were just starting but were only getting better :)

  • Man, I don't care what anyone says. This is the Underoath. New Underoath is alright, Not as nearly as good as this! Too bad Dallas left the group. I've always wanted to see them live, never gotten the chance to :(

  • Who cares..Nothing ever stays the same. Everything changes. You have to learn to change with time or you'll be left behind yearning for the past that will never come back. If you take a look at yourself now and 10 years ago, I highly doubt you would see yourself the same. So why do you hate it when a band also changes. Get over it and move on. If you like their old albums, listen to the old albums. Besides there are countless other bands in the world to appeal to the 6 billion+ people's taste.

  • Reminds me of when I was 16

  • Beautiful

  • Good, I love Underoath Forever

  • actually they have christopher dudley and timothy mctauge and they were in the changing of times so------

  • I miss THIS underoath. Dallas was the man.

  • 4:20 -5:13 is the best part....

  • 2:52 - 3:40 awesome!!

  • theyre descent now but they dont have 1 original member in there band anymore.

  • @wiesemann The keyboard player isn't there anymore? I remember seeing them live before this album came out at the greenhouse in Dunwoody, Georgia!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i like this. not as much as their older stuff, but i have heard worse

  • @remyj17 this is pretty old for them...

  • does may sound stupid..but does anyone know where i can find a picture of the back of this album? i always just been curious to what it looks like lol

  • i love this band they are great from 1998-and still going i don't have this cd yet but the new one was great i wish aaron was still in the band though

  • For me, this album's rawness and pain are what really keep me coming back. I grew up with this album. I was about 11ish when I first started listening to this. I'm now 17 and absolutely love this album, this song especially. It's helped me through a lot of angst over the years. This whole album has.. It reminds me of everything at better times. Times with family, just crystalline moments that I refuse to let go. This is music. This much meaning should be put into all music.

  • is the Spencer or Dallas cause its amazing

  • fck

im listening to this song every 5:13 min.

    hope my ears survive.

  • Listen to this when your sleeping

  • Although this is underoath in there prime in my opinion all there albums are great.

  • Dang all of u guys are new underoath haters! both new and old are good, so stop bitchin about old underoath being better. the styles are completely different! the argument isnt relavent

  • @IcPeters I'm sorry man i have to say that Spencer underoath is way better then Dallas underoath but Dallas underoath is still pretty damn awesome

  • This whole album is fucking amazing. It got me through a very rough period of my life. Old Underoath dominates new Underoath. Hands down.

  • @GUNITsoldieification

Maybe it would still have some kind of balls to speak of

  • I like old underoath... i just dont know whats worse lil wayne or new underoath! there both SHIT!!!!

  • @ozztenn Stop being a hater k?

  • damn this is so beautiful

  • old underoath still rapes my ears

    i love this song

  • This song is so EPIC , sounds fucking Good .. :D

  • Back when underoath had balls

  • I love this song.

  • I love this song.

  • I love this song.

  • i loooove this song!

  • Underoath reminds me a lot of Alexisonfire in the way they have evolved as a band. If you go back and listen to Alexisonfire's first album it sounds a lot like this where it's screaming with more of a talking back part rather than singing, however now they have both transformed into more complete bands using complex instrument structures and more melodic pieces. Whether you like old or new both are just a representation of their skill and how they have changed over the years

  • i truthfully don't like their new album. at all.. separation was their best in my opinion.

  • wow, i've never liked underoath before, but this is REALLY good.

  • without this album, underoath wouldnt be as popular as they are.

  • I love every song that Underoath has made, I like their old stuff and new stuff the same, I don't understand why people are hating on Underoath now, their new album is the best one so far, in my opinion. Most of you who say you hate the new stuff probably haven't listened to it. This is not 'real' Underoath this is Underoath 8 years ago. Your Cries of the Past are just Acts of Depression during The Changing of TImes.

  • @js7news Dang dude, that last sentence just blew my mind.

  • @js7news You sir, have posted the greatest comment in the history of Youtube.

  • @js7news ,considering that there aren't even any original members left in the band, its not really Underoath. Also, the new stuff sucks ass, clever pun though.

  • @js7news Wrong

  • @js7news soo,let's Define The Great Line :D

  • @js7news hey man i like your style you put that in a smart way :)

  • @js7news the new cd sucks.. ever since taylor left and anything after they're only chasing safety was shit.

  • i remember when my and my ex guitar player use to cover this song.

the best time i EVER had thinking and hoping and wishing we will play for an audience..and soon enough, we started playing shows at our hometown.

loved every minute of it and i will never forget those times we had.

  • all their old vids need more views.

  • scheiße !

  • It's just meh, don't have the same great sound. It's mediocre and common sounding. I didn't say worse, I said just not as good. I won't buy or listen to the new stuff.

  • This is their last album before they completely changed.

  • @bernie6127 Pretty sad because this was probably their most influential album for me and also weirdly enough my second, after They're Only Chasing Safety. This album was better, songs had more substance and are so much more interesting than present day Underoath. I really like the vocals much more, so much more energy.

    Whatever.......new underoath sucks, oh well.

  • @ReticentIndignation You're 1000% correct.

  • @bernie6127 yeah. then they became good.

  • Old underoath is shit. This just sounds like a tuneless racket.

Whereas, the REAL underoath of today make incredible, epic, meaningful music.

    Spencer > Dallas

    Disambiguation

    11/9/10

  • @danutd94 this is REAL Underoath man Disambiguation isn't even that good.

  • @finestpures Disambiguation is amazing, it's so musically talented with Spencer's vocals and the instrumentals and the lyrics. Am i the only fan, no i mean like REAL FAN, of Underoath that loves every single thing they did, simply because everything they have done was amazing and had such depth to it? The instrumentals especially are done so incredibly, IF you knew anything about music, you wouldn't have even said this.

  • @HeadOfUchihaClan first of all the only reason i put that comment there was because some kid was calling old Underoath shit alright? second if it wasn't for this albumn disambiguation wouldn't even be there. not even the original lineup but w/e. i didn't say i hated disambiguation just thought it wasn't made well because i was use to a softer Underoath. i stil support them and i think they have a good meaning for being a band. i do know a lot about music. just saying.

  • @finestpures it was very well made you've seen all these comments about underoath now and about Chiodos if you're into them, people are hating on the new people and the new albums. Honestly now Underoath sounds like a post-hardcore version of the beatles.

  • @danutd94 asshole

  • I miss this band, the new stuff is just...simply not as good.

  • @ReticentIndignation what makes it worse?

  • i loved underoath. and i love underoath

i loved them since they were born and i still do.

underoath will continue being amazing forever. they never sucked. experiencing changes didnt make them better or worst. I love underoath.

  • One of their realest albums! and fuck you 7 people who hit dislike ;) youll burn for that! lol

  • why fight on the comments, this song is too good to be fighting, instead of listening to it.

  • Back when underoath was actually amazing, Dallas FTW!!

  • Underoath <3 is all I can say.

  • i can't understand what they say, but because of the lyrics i know this song is... AWESOME!

  • this brings back so many memories i cant even listen to it

  • lmaooooo

  • this song goes to show, that bfs or gfs love is nothing compared to Gods love! thats what i believe atleast!

  • still like it.

  • God take me because I hate me

  • the talking in this song gives me chills

  • Absolutely amazing.

    Nuff said.

  • This is old underoath , no other band has reached me this deep

i just cant help it , the way dallas sings it is so astonishing

  • so true :/

  • i love this song so much...i mean its just so wow!!!!

  • Whats the difference from a christian band or a band made of christians. If a band is all homosexuals would the band be gay or would they just be a band made up of gays. The band would be gay. underoath uses their music to influence people for God's glory and aaron clearly lets an audience know that he is a christian and does what he does because of christ.

  • still amazing, 8 years later.

  • so true man so fucking true..

  • @westbound714 the best music, is old music

  • @westbound714 still amazing 9 years later!

  • WHY DID DALLAS LEAVE!?!?!??!

  • @ForestTheAmorous i think he had some disagreements with the band. He's in Maylene and The Sons of Disaster right now.

  • yeah i watched an interview with dallas and all and apparently he left becasue he was having problems with a girl he loved... so the band kicked him...

  • @ForestTheAmorous didn't his woman die...? in a car crash?

  • @TheDude0129 No that was one of his friends. It was the guys fiance. A lot of people think it inspired "It's Dangerous Business" but that's not true either.

  • best

  • Somebody needs to make a drum cover!!!!!!!!!!!

  • band of christians, not christian band lol.

  • @cinnabin no this is a christian band

  • According to the band themselves, they're a christian band...

  • thumb me down look up Dallas said in an interview that he didn't write it

  • old underoath was a band of christians not a christian band :\ theres a difference

  • Very true. If people actually LISTEN to their lyrics, it was really about personal problems.

  • @phalanaxeproductions You got it mixed bro. On their first album they have a whole song dedicated to the death of Jesus. Now they hint their faith in their music.

  • @phalanaxeproductions No there first album was totally christian. then dallas wennt through somethign like depression, with his girlfriend. and that stopped the christian music.

  • @underOATHisCHRIST he saw his girlfriend die and then he looked towards christianity. this was their last album with dallas and this album is totally christian. DUUUUDE ILL BE SEEING DALLAS THIS SATURDAY AT SCREAM THE PRAYER WITH MAYLENE!!!

  • @phalanaxeproductions sorry but you're wrong

  • @Romopunk7 wrong about what? its been so long since i posted this i dont remember

  • @phalanaxeproductions shut up faggot

  • @Romopunk7 your an idiot -.-

  • @phalanaxeproductions i find that hard to believe considering they wrong "burden in your hands"

  • @phalanaxeproductions Old underOath sounded amazing. Still does they just aren't hardcore anymore. I miss it.

  • @phalanaxeproductions uhh no in cries of the past they sang about god and jesus in almost every song so theyre both.depends on what you call a christian band

  • @phalanaxeproductions Oldest Underoath album (Act Of Depression) was Christian as.

  • god take me , because i hate me. haha this music was not good for a 15 year old.... but you gotta listen to something.

  • I love old underoath and I am an atheist. Faith gives people passion, even if it is completely unfounded.

  • what's faith if i can't believe?

    it's everything.

a cure but i make it

    a disease.

    <3

  • your faith is dead

  • DancesWithPampers...

as soon as i read ur comment, those lines were said in the song :D

    was very amusing for me

  • Dallas Taylor i miss U in Underoath T_T

  • never heard this song til today. it upped my respect for underoath big time.

  • stop complain about the lyrics and just listen to the damn song; its fucking kick ass :)

if you really loved underoath you would love this song. really, all their songs

    <3

  • "Lyrics: Wasted time in between solo's" - Angus Young.

But yeh the song is good :)

  • wow.

  • Dallas is on "Maylene and the sons of disaster" that is the name of his band.

  • where did dallas go?

  • i think this song is about dallas's dead fiance. she died in december too so that makes me think its his fiance also.

  • god they were such a better band with dallas and all his heartbreak and what not...i miss dallas ...come back.......please

  • guys there a good band with or without god

  • this is intense

  • It's not his wife. It's his fiance who died in a car crash, that's what COtP and CoT is all about. That's why "he was asked to leave" the band because of his personal problems, and the band can't wait for him to recover. But some would say he left because every song he wrote is just all about "what happened to his fiance".

  • I don't understand why people would think it was his wife. It was the fiance. This is one of my favourite songs. I can relate. My mum died in a car crash. But I could never write a song like this about it.

  • Because it's not your fault.

  • where do u people get the idea his wife is dead...

  • he made up a story that his wife was dead.its not real. but people think it is for some odd reason =]

  • i hope you do know underOath is a christian band so ur name with the 666 in it makes no sense

  • yeah i know it doesnt haha. i made this like so long ago i dont know why i put it in their. i gueess i was in the slipknot fad of my life lmao. but w.e im too lazy to change it. just a youtube name anyway =]

  • dallas is a beast

  • awesome song

it reminds me when the sun sleeps

  • im a dirty salamander

  • best song alive

  • this song and the changing of times are the best songs from this album. it has suck raw emotions in it.

  • man i wonder what happened in his life.. Changing of times and Alone in December are so fucking..

  • Man.. thanks! Makes me love this album more and more.. This song's wonderful. This album's wonderful. This band was wonderful.

  • Are you serious? He doesn't talk about hating God in the Changing of Times, it's about how it's the only reason he's still alive. Take Short of Daybreak, he talks about how God holds her in Heaven and that one day they'll be back together again. He hated himself and blamed himself for her death, not God.

  • i haven't read any lyrics that are anything close to him hating God. the songs are about exactly what u said so i don't know where that guy gets it

in fact the very last words on this song (on the CD as well) are "i hate me"

  • i didnt say that..

  • Sure, in Short of Daybreak he does have a more optimistic look on it, but i mean look at just the one line in this song...

What's faith if I can't believe? Its everything, a cure, but I make it a disease.

Clearly not showing his love for God.

  • he is showing his love for God, it's just how he makes it a disease and not a cure. he is a sinner just like everyone else in the world. he knows its a cure, but like our human nature is to be selfish and hold on to our hearts and not give them to the Lord. just look at Dallas now, obviously he gave his heart to the Lord at one point or another because he looks exactly like Jesus.

  • and also did you read the lyrics after that, it says "God take me, because I hate me"

  • not all of underoaths songs are about god. not too many of them. they said they arent a christian band, they are a band of christians. this song is either about someone dear to him leaving him, but i personally think its about someone's dad leaving when he was a kid.

  • the new underoath is a band of christians,

i'm prety sure old underoath was a christian band

  • yes i know that is what i meant

  • both are...

  • They are a Christian band. Every song they write may be about different things, but it's written in a way of how they deal with things though God.

  • And at their concerts they always say, "We are a band that stands up here in the name of, Jesus Christ."

that goes to show that they are a Christian band, and they say they are in a ton of interviews.
