Intua, I want to say thanks for a wonderful program. I uploaded my first beat the other day and I am getting some positive feedback. I've only scratched the surface and I am looking forward to remixing and making beats with this. I really need help with changing the file type once i've transfered put the beat i've made onto the computer, it's a .bm2 filetype and obviously the computer can not play that, I have changed it into a .mp3 and.wav file type but it says that it there is not enough memory to play it on my computer. I have beatmaker 1 and nanostudio, with ampkit thru studiomini. Ok, beatmaker, both are not good for rock and I'm no hiphop fan, nanostudio has a better sounding rock kit, not great but,it works nanostudio is still on my pod and phone beatmaker isn't , this seems to be like nanostudio in regards to what you can do
how do you import songs from your iTunes library into the chop lab though? I wanna see how easy it is to sample things in it, but I'm having a hard time finding tutorials for it ; thanks

I think you should give BM1 owners a serious discount. Although I know it doesn't work like that with drum machines and sequencers bought at a music store, this is different, because you're not going to lose money on the cost of hardware. It really wouldn't cost you anything to let me download BM2 at a discounted price. When you discount it for BM1 owners, I'll buy it. Thanx.

thanks for the quick start, guide and instructions on your web site , the only problem i have with them is that they are not available in a downloadable pdf, at least that i was able to find , it would be nice to have that pdf printed out for when i had a question while working away from the internet, also , perhaps an update where tool tips are added to the buttons in app, letting you know what button you are touching.... just a suggestion , love the app

Ok I was reading the manual for nano studio and it said that it works with intua and sonama. I have no idea WTF sonata is but dies this mean that I can make my beat here in bm2 and then send it to nano and refine my synths and then send it back and forth between the 2 to master tracks? Without a pc all on my ipod4 32gigs. Since nano is limited in the drum department and the tracker leaves a bit to be desired wish this nano& fl mobile would all become 1 app
@Kronicilln3ss Yes, using the pasteboard you can copy/paste your samples to other applications that support it, without requiring the use of another computer
@yoyoyoaliman I'd get this. Delete that FL Studio Mobile, it's a piece of crap(I had it) and it doesnt work right. Hope you got it through a jailbreak cause FL Mobile is not worth the money, this is!

@TheAndNicole This may be due to the automatic quantize during the recording. You can change the quantize value or turn it off within the "Record panel". To display this panel, just press the "REC." button from the transport bar.
I'm not sure if I want to get this. I have FL Studio Mobile, but this looks better. The reason I am hesitant is because it also looks more difficult to master, and I haven't even mastered the simplicity of FL Studio yet lol.

Nice update! What controllers or midi devices can I use with it for the iPhone4. Please make "note repeat" more accessible in your next update. I'd like to control the note repeat while recording. It makes a cool loop effect too like a Dj if you could do both. Big fan! Been riding with y'all since the first beat maker. I wish I could import noise.io sounds and other amidio sounds. Give beatmaker 2 to all the people who bought beatmaker one but never really got into it because it was hardly a finished product having no synth. Now I'm faced with purchasing beatmaker 2 to replace the beatmaker 1 I already paid for but got bored of it after about 15 minutes of finger drumming.

is there a way that i can cause a chop on a pad to stop playing when i trigger the next pad when i'm using beatmaker 2 for the iphone kind of like you can do on an mpc? I see where i can change how to note plays when i press a pad(one shot, hold, hold + loop) but when i press a pad the previous sample continues playing... is there a fix for this that i'm overlooking???
@SneakerHeadsAintDead You can do exactly that by setting Exclusive Groups on the pads. Please check the User Manual from our website for more information
This sucks I really liked beatmaker and I bought iTunes cards to get beatmaker 2 and it won't let me download it because I have 3rd gen 8 gigs. Please please fix so that 3rd gen 8 gigs can download it!
When I try and do the same pattern as you at the start, it does most of the notes right but the last two quick notes don't record properly :/ instead of going quickly, they go in the same tempo as the first two :/
Basically, it won't let me record two notes in quick succession :(
@TechnoDanc3B3ast When recording, a note quantize of 1/16 is applied by default. You can either disable it or change the resolution from the Recording panel (you can find it in the transport bar)
@CCooke3 You can do so by going to the "Sharing" screen, then tap on the "iPod Import" button. Our User Manual contains all the information needed about using BeatMaker 2, and it is available in English and Japanese on our website (check video description)
This or nano studio the hard choice is because this one takes up more storage space and although I have the 32GB iPhone 4 it's almost full. Can't wait for a 62GB iPhone 4/4s/5
Great app. But why should anyone support your app when you cant even answer potential buyer questions? I know you cant answer all questions, but trying too comes with the job, don't you think.? I was going to purchase this app, but customer service is more important too me.
@DetroitNative83 All you have to do is sequence your track, then export the whole song, then use Soundcloud to upload straight to the internet also you can use a FTP Client to send your track to your PC or to send your own samples from the your PC to Beatmaker.
@CB900Chris I agree but at the same time, what about products like the Adobe Suites? Every time they come up with an upgrade, you have to buy the licence again yeah? So why shouldn't these guys make some money too, and c'mon its not that expensive considering what it can do! I am purchasing the iPhone 4 on Saturday. I am genuinely excited to pay $20 for this app. I refuse to pirate this as it looks like such a beautiful piece of work. I'll be purchasing a gift card shortly after the phone itself, and will be purchasing this as soon as I get home from the store. Intua did a great job with the first edition of this. I had it on my 1st gen iPod touch before my headphone output died. Enjoy my $20, Intua. I know you'll use it wisely, you guys are incredibly creative.

@ImDino Ha ha! You DO have a choice. Good call on the iPhone! I'm no iPhone fanboy but seriously, iPhone 4 is friggin fantastic. My friends had HTCs, two had iPhones and I had an iPod touch. I chose the iPhone based strictly on how the OS felt to operate. The iPhone wins hands down AND it has the bomb audio apps. I'd wait till the iPhone 5 comes out this summer and pick it up on Verizon. But if you just HAVE to get an iPhone 4 right now trust me, you won't regret it.
I have plans on buying the iphone 4 after having a crappy htc... and as I love hiphop and making music this app makes me HAVE TO BUY THE IPHONE! Now i have no choice...
@TheSportsAnylist2011 It's hard to say which is best because they are all so different. I think that when it comes to sequencing and production it comes down to two programs for iPhone that are great. "Nanostudio" is freaking great, Beatmaker 2 is freaking great. I own both. I suggest you buy both of them as well. They both rock and they are the best out there, flat out.
@Ecentc You can fully manipulate the oscillators from envelope to filter. Unfortunately the oscillators are super thin and sound really bad no matter how you manipulate them. The synths arent BM2s strength. Still a great program and worth the cash.

Awesome bit of kit, starting to get to grips with it. I have Musicstudio which is also pretty dam good but this is superior. Their is now a manual on the Intua website consisting of 63 pages :0. Well detailed to. Worth the £11.99. A few niggles but their already working on updates and looking at customer feedback so cant wait for updates!
@speedmccool385bitch Select your entire track as a loop in the editor window. Bottom right hand side says "export", push that. After it exports press the "home" button on the upper right hand side. At the top of the home window are 4 icons. The farthest little icon on the right looks like two overlapping computer screens, press that and follow the onscreen soundcloud directions. Have fun! (:
*Update* So I bought it a few hours ago and yeah, it's pretty freakin sick! Been composing for a while now and it's just great. The synths are nothing to write home about but the sampling matrix is fantastic. Only complaint is that it needs to have dedicated recording trax for outboard gear or vocals. You grab this piece and Nanostudio and you are golden.

Great app. But why should anyone support your app when you cant even answer potential buyer questions? I know you cant answer all questions, but trying too comes with the job, don't you think.? I was going to purchase this app, but customer service is more important too me.

@DetroitNative83 All you have to do is sequence your track, then export the whole song, then use Soundcloud to upload straight to the internet also you can use a FTP Client to send your track to your PC or to send your own samples from the your PC to Beatmaker.

@CB900Chris I agree but at the same time, what about products like the Adobe Suites? Every time they come up with an upgrade, you have to buy the licence again yeah? So why shouldn't these guys make some money too, and c'mon its not that expensive considering what it can do! They pour their time and effort into a project like this, what's 20 dollars at the end of the day really?

I am purchasing the iPhone 4 on Saturday. I am genuinely excited to pay $20 for this app. I refuse to pirate this as it looks like such a beautiful piece of work. I'll be purchasing a gift card shortly after the phone itself, and will be purchasing this as soon as I get home from the store. Intua did a great job with the first edition of this. I had it on my 1st gen iPod touch before my headphone output died. Enjoy my $20, Intua. I know you'll use it wisely, you guys are incredibly creative.

@ImDino Ha ha! You DO have a choice. Good call on the iPhone! I'm no iPhone fanboy but seriously, iPhone 4 is friggin fantastic. My friends had HTCs, two had iPhones and I had an iPod touch. I chose the iPhone based strictly on how the OS felt to operate. The iPhone wins hands down AND it has the bomb audio apps. I'd wait till the iPhone 5 comes out this summer and pick it up on Verizon. But if you just HAVE to get an iPhone 4 right now trust me, you won't regret it.

@TheSportsAnylist2011 It's hard to say which is best because they are all so different. I think that when it comes to sequencing and production it comes down to two programs for iPhone that are great. "Nanostudio" is freaking great, Beatmaker 2 is freaking great. I own both. I suggest you buy both of them as well. They both rock and they are the best out there, flat out.

@Ecentc You can fully manipulate the oscillators from envelope to filter. Unfortunately the oscillators are super thin and sound really bad no matter how you manipulate them. The synths arent BM2s strength. Still a great program and worth the cash.

synth editing is the only thing nanostudio has on this...otherwise this is better for getting quick ideas down

Awesome bit of kit, starting to get to grips with it. I have Musicstudio which is also pretty dam good but this is superior. Their is now a manual on the Intua website consisting of 63 pages :0. Well detailed to. Worth the £11.99. A few niggles but their already working on updates and looking at customer feedback so cant wait for updates!

@speedmccool385bitch Select your entire track as a loop in the editor window. Bottom right hand side says "export", push that. After it exports press the "home" button on the upper right hand side. At the top of the home window are 4 icons. The farthest little icon on the right looks like two overlapping computer screens, press that and follow the onscreen soundcloud directions. Have fun! (:

*Update* So I bought it a few hours ago and yeah, it's pretty freakin sick! Been composing for a while now and it's just great. The synths are nothing to write home about but the sampling matrix is fantastic. Only complaint is that it needs to have dedicated recording trax for outboard gear or vocals. You grab this piece and Nanostudio and you are golden.
