  • This was hilarious when i saw it. And his ugly ass was smiling while raja bell hit the 3 pointer to tie the game. that video on youtube some where.

  • This was so heart breaking lol

  • hes just so...ugly

  • I guess you have eight seconds TOTAL to get the ball past half court. They used 2 seconds and called a timeout. Then they inbounded and used another 6.

  • @lotsavodka

    Is that .

  • How is that not a 8 second violation. Look at the 24 second clock and hes clearly behind the half court line when it reaches 16 seconds.

  • so who won anyway?

  • lol how was that a 8 second violation? the video was only at six seconds, when he crossed the half court.

  • @heartbreakdrakemusic

    24-16 = 8

    see

you just didn't see the first 2 seconds

  • 5 seconds

  • he gets the ball at 1 secind into the video and crosses at 7 seconds in thats just a stupid call.

  • 5 second...

  • not a 8 second

  • so who won that game??

  • that was an epic series...

  • Are 6,4 seconds...36,2 - 29.8

  • @leonedilernia5

that's right, it's wasn't the best call by the ref at all

  • @leonedilernia5 shot clock was at 22 since they took a timeout and took off two seconds

  • ALIEN!

  • The mothership was reaching out to all their species at the exact moment of the 8 sec violation.

  • SHOT CLOCK STARTS AT 22 SECS ONLY haha.. =)

  • @whagngak123asd Cause they called timeout

  • this is what happens when you let the clippers in the playoffs.....

  • The ref had his hand up at the beginning of the video which means the 8 second count hasn't started yet. Cassell turns his head towards the red 6 seconds into the clip... 8 second violation?....

  • @JericoAquino it doesn't matter. they rule according to the shot clock. he was in the backcourt for 6 sec. but shot clock already spent 8 sec. thats clearly an 8 sec violation. good call.

  • 0:12 The announcer is in rage mode.

  • Basketball is a joke to watch any more. So many fouls called the game is brought to a halt. They need to learn to look the other way unless a guy gets totally molested during a shot kind of like how they look away when guys travel every time down the court.

  • that was a terrible call, he only took 7 seconds

  • When the hell did the Clippers make the playoffs?

  • @travz21 06

  • lol at 0:06 he crosses mid court so bad call

  • @IsCommentingCool You forgot to look a second earlier at 0:05

  • @IsCommentingCool

there was 16 sec left on the shot clock and he still was behind mid court.. so.... 24-16 = 8 sec violation

  • I wonder if Clippers fans forgive him for this

  • In Soviet Russia, Shot clock violates YOU.

  • @BronzeMechX In Soviet Russia, no one cares.

  • did the phoenix hit a game winning shot?? or go in ot and win?

  • the 06 nba playoffs was the best in the 2000's even though my spurs lost but the Spurs v Mavs and Suns vs Clippers series were epic!

  • Comment removed

  • lost the series

  • wow. this is pretty educational. i would have thought the 8 second count would reset when you take a time out. but it doesn't. this is an informative video.

  • sam: wtf?

  • Naw that was not 8 seconds at all

  • @Baller26842 it was coz they had taken a timeout and that had eaten some of the time off

  • @Dunkmaster3333 then they would of started at half court but they didn't...

  • You guys need 2 stop making fun of the clippers, they actually had a good team that year making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs even doing better than the lakers which was weird cos they didn't even make the playoofs that year. Sam Cassell (when he was still an all-star player), Elton Brand (a beast in his prime), Corey Magette (monster dunker), Cuttino Mobley and Chris Kaman

  • @NBALJFan23 People make fun of the Clippers because they're the worst ball club in NBA history. 41 seasons and only a 36.1 W-L%? That's pathetic.

    Buffalo Braves--8 seasons: 259 W - 397 L (W-L%: 39.5)

    San Diego Clippers--6 seasons: 186 W - 306 L (W-L%: 37.8)

    Los Angeles Clippers--27 seasons: 732 W - 1,383 L (W-L%: 34.6)

-4 playoff appearances in 32 years (being called Clippers), 3 of which were 1st round exits.

So far THIS season, they're 2-13. smh...

  • @gmn545 Haha why would you hate on the Clippers , seriously? Its like the biggest guy in your school bullying the weakest guy, theres no point....

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou I don't hate the Clippers, although I hate that they're in Los Angeles (where I'm from). We have the greatest franchise AND the worst franchise in league history, all in the same city. I said people, including myself, have made fun of them for the obvious reasons I cited previously, but that doesn't translate to "hate". Someone like Lebron gets hated on.

  • @gmn545 Ahem, I think you mean "second greatest franchise in league history". They've got 1 championship to go before being considered the greatest. I agree with the rest of your comment though.

  • @i153276 No, I mean the Lakers are THE greatest franchinse in league history. Other than just 16 championships...

    3047 W - 1873 L (61.9% winning %) NBA record for most wins & highest winning %

31 Western Conference titles; 57 playoff appearances (in 63 seasons) = 2nd fewest non-playoff seasons (behind Spurs)

NBA record for longest winning streak: 33 games (1972)

    21 Hall of Famers (15 players; 4 coaches; 2 contributers--Hearn & Buss)

  • typo: franchise*

  • EIGHT SECONDS?! EIGHT SECOND VIOLATION ON THE CLIPPERS!!

  • He was so close...

  • Goddamm that nigga is fucking ugly.

  • thats pretty funny still ahhaha

  • @Etuc5 Shot clocks cant just 'start' at 22, they always start at 24, which means 2 second in, the clips called a time out, so they then only had 6 seconds more to bring the ball down. foo.

  • it was 6 the shot clock started at 22 ,.. -.-

  • The Clippers won a game.?

  • it's 8 seconds when the ball was first put in play for that possession, 2 seconds ran off before the timeout so he only had those 6 seconds to get it in

  • i got 6.31 seconds. holy shit cassells ugly, respect goes out to him though

  • SMH STAGGGGEEEDDDDD ! IT WAS LIKE 6.5 SECONDS

  • its just 6 seconds

  • Sam Cassell is one ugly muthafucka.

  • E.T. GO HOME!

  • the ref should not have made the call he crossed like .2 seconds after 16 you dont make calls like that with fuckin 29 second left in a tie game

  • the clock was @ 36.2 when inbounded and @ 29.8 when the ref blew the whistle... im no genius, but thats a bad call.. it wasnt even 7 seconds!

  • @machetephil1 look at the shot clock not the game clock, 2 sec were already burned off

  • @machetephil1 yeah your right.. good eyes!

  • @machetephil1 yeah but they called the timeout after the ball was inbounded previously so that means some of the 8 seconds was taken away. Sam probably thought he had 8 seconds after the timeout but he really only had 8 seconds minus the seconds that were taken away before the timeout

  • This was an amazing Clippers team. Cassell, Mobley, Brand, Maggette. Sad they couldn't go to the championships.

  • VIDEO SAY'S OTHERWISE!

  • sam cassel is one ugly looken nigga lmao

  • lmao he was smiling too

  • LOL Clippers at the Playoffs?? Must of been a dream come true for yall lol.

  • They had already burned 2 seconds before the timeout. Which means if you opt to not advance the ball to half court, you have still have the original 8 second count you started with. Hence 24-8=16 seconds left on the shot clock and a violation.

  • Bullshit, clock started at 22

  • @wowthatsbs That's because the clock had already started at 24, they had a timeout and the clocked stopped at 22.

  • @wowthatsbs bcuz they called a timeout after the 24 shot clock was ticking and so after they called timeout it was already 22.. u get it?

  • haha stupid people, it doesnt fucking matter how much you counted. Didn't you listen to the commentator Doug Collins? replay the video and LISTEN. He'll explain it himself >..<

  • Owned

  • he had about 2 more sec.

  • hahaha what if that was a game 7

  • Raja Bell must be thinking, "Who's smiling now!?"

  • 8 sec?! there werent 8 seconds lol

  • @13q28 Yes it was, see the shot clock always starts at 24, but they had already used 2 seconds before they called time out. When they called time out the clock stopped at 22 seconds, 24-8=16 so 2 seconds already burned, so Cassell had 6 seconds to get the ball down court, he took his time, ref whistled, 8 second violation.

  • forget my dumbass comment i did it wrong but anyway celtics are beast

  • douchebags keep sayin its 24-8 its 22 dumbasses and 22-8 is 14

  • who won

  • Comment removed

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou Wrong information dude. this is game 5. clippers lost in overtime.

  • @tothebeaty0 O I thought this was game 4 :P

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou dude this was game 5 and the Clippers lost! haha

  • @MyCockIsNotForYou didn't the suns win this game?

  • are you all really this stupid? look at the shot clock when its inbounded, 22, so he has until 16 seconds (because 24-8=16) and it clearly turns 16 before he gets to midcourt.

  • he called it at 6

  • @utubby908

the shot clock is at 16.... 24-8=16

  • @souljasai shot clock starts at 22

  • @souljasai nevermind it was at 24 since they called a timeout my bad

  • wow that wasnt 8 sec

  • @Nomer1Baller

uhh what is 24-8.... yeah 16 and look at the shot clock

  • That's why the Clippers lost their playoff privileges.

  • He probably was thinking of calling home ~0~

  • Comment removed

  • Shitty call! He crossed at 16 which would be 8 seconds, it wasn't like he was still 10 feet away or the D was pressing him! You know, in ref camp you learn that a referee shouldn't decide the game if he doesn't have to .... He could've called carrying too lol

  • i got 7

  • I think i remrmber this

  • I counted 6

  • @jumpman91032 clock was at 20 prior to the inbounds so 4 seconds had already passed. The main rule is ball has to be over the halfway mark before 16 seconds are left on the shot clock.

  • @301SO aight. yea i guess that makes sense.

  • sooo...who won that game?

  • 6 seconds are u stupid? there was either a timeout after a steal or whatever so the clock time does not return to 24 u idiots

  • I remember watching dat game. They passed da ball n and a couple seconds went off da clock. Wen came out of timeout they passed ball n to same and raja was playing fullcourt press on him and laid off after a few secs and Sam didnt pay attention that he only less dan 6 secs to advance da ball.

  • most dudes here didn't understand the call.

  • Tha waz 6 sec

  • lol.. its was a good call..

he asked for a timeout and forgot that it was passed 2secs on the floor,,

look closely the timer starts at 22secs.

  • that was 6 seconds, one of the worst calls in the nba.

  • @DavidLopez3594 You really are a special child, aren't you? Maybe you should not comment on basketball related issues, if you don't have a clue about the rules. Let me try to explain it to you, if in any way possible.

The shot clock is 24 seconds. When they inbound the ball, they have already used 2 seconds, due to whatever happened before the inbounds. So Cassell only has 6 seconds left. When the shot clock hits 16 seconds, it's a violation. Which, it clearly is.

  • that wasn't even 8 sec, bullshit call, watch count it

  • Thats A Bad Day

  • He is one ugly mofo hahahahah

  • what was the result of the game

  • its only 7 sec....

  • It was a violation cuz he inbounded it n took some time n then calld a timeout but cassel didnt kno dat he only had a lil bit time pass the halfcourt line

  • the shotclock is at 22 in the beginning so that means the ball was in the backcourt for 2 seconds before the inbounds pass! 24-16=8

  • @nalhguoc94 simple physics

  • Hey they shouldnt have called this, Sam might kindap them with his UFO

  • lol the CLIPPERS made the playoffs!?!?

  • @RavensDude52 2006. :D

  • @RavensDude52 more than the ravens do

  • o.O

  • it started going down for clippers right after that moment

  • whatttt on my video he passes the line at 7seconds hahha that sucks

  • no violation here you assholes!

  • @jack8element what? lol

  • search "freshestplaya1 gta parkour" its sooooo good

  • love how the commentator just blows up. "eight second?!" "eight second violation on the clippers!!!"

  • @MNtwinsvikeswild thats marv albert 4 ya

  • he messed up, NOT because he couldnt subtract 24 - 9 = 16, but because he probably forgot the rule existed altogether

  • It is a legit call but I am surprised the ref called it under a minute to go. But hey, I like Suns so screw the alien.

  • What a fuck up! All these years of experience plus 2 titles, he's a fuck up, just like Billups and Diwght Howard- that's why you'll never see any of them win another NBA title!!!

  • most refs call 8 second violations by looking at the shot clock. the call was handed out at 16 seconds on the shot clock, which is 24 secs minus 8 secs.

  • No way that was an 8 sec violation.. Seriously.. Come on, even the commentators are stunned to hear it and they KNOW if the players are too slow to get across midcourt..

  • Not an 8 second violation.

They passed the ball in at 36.2 seconds they called an 8 second violation at 29.8. 36.2

    -29.8

    --------

     6.4 seconds

    BAD CALL!

But, on the other hand Sam should have been aware that there is an 8 second call.

  • @kobebryant24kb24 the shotclock was at the :22...you have until the :16 mark to get the ball across the halfcourt.

  • @lilrp76

    Alright

    thx.

  • @kobebryant24kb24 They start counting from the time any shotclock begins (24 seconds)

    so

    24

    -8

    ------

    16

It was at 16 seconds before he got over the halfcourt line.

    GOOD CALL!

It was probably at 22 because they probably got a rebound then called a timeout

  • @kobebryant24kb24 dude the shot clock was at 22 and he was still in the back court when the shot clock was at 16....thats 8 seconds

  • @peterdabest94 22-16=8?

  • @platinum108 it doesn't matter if the shot clock was at 22, u have to get the ball past the line at 16 seconds no matter what

  • @peterdabest94 failed maths at school i see?

  • @peterdabest94 thats 6 secs.

  • @kobebryant24kb24 Already commented on this video. You are a typical Bryant fan as you know nothing about basketball. How about you try to learn the rules before commenting? Would that be ok? Then my head wouldn't hurt for reading your posts.

  • @75samuel75

Ha ha. Judge me by what I say in a youtube comment. I look at the comments and all I see is you criticizing people. Do you enjoy making fun of people? Does it make you feel tough? LOL WOW

Dude I know basketball better than you do.

  • @kobebryant24kb24 Making a statement about basketball and its rules, when you don't know the rules, makes you an idiot. Do you see me commenting about lacrosse? No, because I know nothing about it. But pretending to know something and not having a clue, well that's a sign of someone truly ignorant.

And how do you know more about basketball than me when you don't even know a simple rule? I was following the NBA before you were even born.

  • @75samuel75

Dude I screwed up okay. I know alot about basketball, hence my username. I made a mistake and you are acting like it's the end of the world and that I know nothing about basketball. I am not perfect.

  • @kobebryant24kb24 ball was inbounded with 22 seconds left on the shot clock.

i love how sam is smiling and doesn't realize how much time is left. what an idiot.

  • fail.

  • if they lost the game he might got beaten up

  • how does the time go from 29.8 seconds to 31?

  • hey!! that was not even 6 sec!!!!! COUNT!!!

  • i think its not a 8 sec violation

    but he was happy

    hahahaaaa

  • wow...i just realized this was during the playoffs....tell me they wont this game...

  • how the fuck did the clippers make the playoffs. What a joke

  • haha wow exactly 8 seconds. good call.

  • not even close to eight seconds if you count it out yourself

  • @overloadproductions fuck are you dense they called a timeout after 4 sec had run off the clock and he forgot that and took over 4 sec to cross the halfway line

  • Umm, 24 shot clock, -8 = 16. Ugh.... that's difficult to count, someone explain to me how people can get so dumb?

  • @Ammaculate44 Not sure if cassel inbounded the ball but the video starts off with shot clock at 22 secs.

  • Because they called a time out, 2 seconds after they inbounded the ball. A coach mistake... That's why you either call a time out before inbound, or after you pass the half court line.

  • @Ammaculate44 well look at the shot clock. it was 22 when he inbounded the ball

  • Go on.....

  • :) -> :(

  • its the year when the lakers is losing to the phoenix in first rd of the playoffs..lakers 7th seeded and the clippers are 6th..

  • the shot clock's start at 22, not 24...

  • @gsoekirno Are Yu Retarded? They Called a Time Out at 22 Retard! They Got The Ball back with 22 Sec. but its a 24 Second Shot Clock. Dumbass. haha

  • I think thats the year the Clippers made the playoffs and the Lakers didnt..

  • THATS F*CKED UP LMAO

  • ..clippers.. in the playoffs???? XD
