Simon hi ,must say ,i love these sounds am going to buy the blofeld very soon its absolutely astonishing beautiful solid tones and you've put together a veritable masterwerk here love it you're a fuckin genius fella you are indeed Thanks loads really impressed Al x
Hey man, this is really tight. I actually have that exact same setup. I have a question though. Is there anyway to automap what you do on the Blofeld into Ableton. I have a track setup with an external instrument so I can put effects on, but the Blofeld never stops playing when I mute the tracks. Only when I actually press the stop button. Turning the volume all the way down does nothing either, and I want to automate the volume slowly getting louder. Any ideas? Good video.
How do you find the combination of the TI2 Desktop and the Blofeld? I currently have a TI2 Desktop and have a line on a good price on a Blofeld (not the keyboard version, though, so it would be missing the sampling as well). The idea intrigues me, but I'm worried about them being kind of redundant.
@Epiphyte Hey there, I have found them to be different enough to complement each other nicely. They are very different to edit as well which means you get different results by messing about. In my opinion the Blofeld is a bargain and sits next to the Virus nicely...
the blofeld is a banging synth, I was going to fall for the blofeld but went with the virus ti snow, maybe in the near future I will get a blofeld desktop because still for studio production it has some nice sound that the virus does not have.
@atabeylive That's what I like about the Blofeld - even though I have the Virus it has very different sounds on it. It's great for anything from harsh, atmospheric soundscapes to lush organic noises. Love it!
@fermixx Thanks a million for this comment - glad you like it! I think you should always make the music that comes from your heart, rather than copycat shit which Beatport is full of. :]
Really nice stuff - contemporary sound, although perhaps notably down the tech house end. Good flow with your gear.
I wish the modern sound shared the IMO more balanced timbre of older tracks - modern electronic music seems to have departed from mids and pushed out more towards the bass, which I think was a poor move of the collective genres as a whole because of the general monotony of kicks.
This track would have been much more effective if the kick was turned down IMO.
Great work as always Siedgey! I use a blofeld desktop as well.Great synth like you said. Are you streaming your synths into Ableton by the way?? Just curious.
amazing stuff... ne chance this tunes gonna get released? a name perhaps i can keep an eye out for? wanna say big ups for your track shoogle... its a fucking brilliant choon... greetings from pakistan!!!
I think you have swapped your left and right monitor; for the most accurate stereo image the tweeters should be on the "inside" and the woofer ports on the "outside".
Ohhh man... that's amazing... I am thinking about getting a Waldorf Blofeld. I am completely new in this matter. Just have an old keybord. To be honest I have no clue what you are doing in this video but I suppose you are using a computer to control the Blofeld and before you have some mixers to control the "channels"? I love that sound.
fantastic tune..;).... hey man, do you use the UC33 to control the beat loops in Ableton?? What about the line out from both synths ?? ..is there some hidden mixer?:)
fantastic tune..;).... hey man, do you use the UC33 to control the beat loops in Ableton?? What about the line out from both synths ?? ..is there some hidden mixer?:)
I want to know what is it like to get the blofeld the one with out the keys there is this small module one that looks like the virus Ti Snow how is that compare to the one you have with the keyboard.
you know...even with my favorite musicians, there are bound to be one or two songs that are not to my liking. but you sir...it seems you can do no wrong.
When I first saw you recently uploaded a video I was overly anxious to hear what sounds were seeping out now. Simon, listening to your music is like a breathe of fresh air and can always be heard softly in the background. Your timing is unquestionable and your transitions are flawless. You are truly a natural at this and there are OTHERS who are watching and listening to your sounds...carefully...
@frankco74 Wow - thank you very much for this comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to say those kind words and I'm glad that you're getting excited about new videos on my channel! I hope I can keep putting out new ones that keep you listening.. :]
btw, I think the manual for your M1's recommends they be placed with the tweeter on the inside, so swapped left/right compared to how you run them. Not sure if you just prefer it your way, but thought I'd mention it. Supposed to give wider sweet spot for stereo imaging, or some such thing.
@aspidistral That's a great tip - thanks for that! I never actually thought to check which way round they should be. I'm moving flat / studio just now so I'll flip them about for the new setup.. :]
this is album ready stuff on the level of jega. Very good, groovy, background engine energy producing dance music, spinning, twirling, dancing machine elves stuff.

@ihasmario Er, I mean micro/minimal house, particularly in terms of feel regarding fotec foyamat and matthew dear.
I think if you explored this sound with some slices/glitching it would be killer.
