Don't listen to these people. You have a very good talent, even better than professional journalists. and to people that say computers take 2 mins to boot? Have you not heard of a function called STANDBY/SLEEP?! I do not bother with phone books. But they ARE fun to rip! To look up number, I just look it up on internet with netbook, or with cell phone. BTW my cell phone is NOT with AT&T.
Yes, you are so right. I think I'm going to throw my laptop on the curb and order up a few more phone books! So, so, smart! Thank you for showing me the light. You are simply the best! XO XO XO
You are so stupid it is almost beyond understanding. Businesses want to advertise in the phone book because there are people that still use them. Why do you think businesses pay to be in the phone book? Do you think they spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to be a book that does not produce results?
Phone books are not wasteful and are a re-use of paper which there is an abundance of. Please do research before you attack something. You sound foolish.
Seriously? You do know that "those people" are just trying to make a living. Haven't you ever heard the expression "Don't Shoot The Messenger"?? How can you possibly blame the folks who drop them off? That's just ignorant.
you do know that it isn't an AT&T employees that drops off those phone books. They put out an ad sayin that they need help to deliver phone books so it's those people that do that crap. and no AT&T doesn't keep an eye on what those people do.
OK, so what do we do with all of the unemployed people who used to sell ads, produce, haul, and deliver phone books? Give them one of those "green jobs" that everyone talks about, but never seem to come up with?
I was thinking about making a video just like this. Thanks for your service. The trees thank you too. I called Verizon and canceled all future books just now.
I dont use phonebooks everyday like the internet, but I still use them from time to time and im in my 20's as well. Its just another option used to find things local. Its a simple word you might want to think about called RECYCLE. if you don't want to use a free tool, recycle it and dont waste it.
Most of these giant books don't ever get recycled. They are ignored by the public and end up in our streets or in our land fills. Irresponsible companies such as AT&T sell ad space in these books and then brag about their distribution numbers. It is in their best interest to hand out as many of these fat books as possible, even if it means dropping of books to uninhabited homes. Distributing these giant books to the entire city by default and not by request is a shameful & selfish practice.

Netbooks are cooler than Phonebooks.

Teach them how to use the Internet. Then they too can spend the day making ignorant, narrow-minded comments.
Your momma is a "Green Job".

For Verizon customers, call (253)872-4700 to get your unwanted phone books picked up if you live in the Pacific Northwest.
