Andrews Rainbow House

Wether the story is true or not I saw the house yesterday. It's a rainbow and for sale. If there ever was an Andrew ( what's his last name?) that was killed there would be a record and it should be able to be verified.

They probably got tired of people going there at night , she was nice and said on the video she would tell people about the house if they came during the day, I hope whoever buys it paints it and proves that the house can be painted over. It was something her husband did and he has since passed, it's his legacy, not the ficticious "Andrew". We all want proof of the paranormal, but this just is not it.

My dad lived a block away from here and we all knew the people who lived there, they also were there when they painted the house. This place isnt haunted.

Well, the story goes that Andrew came out to his dad that he was gay, and his dad freaked and killed Andrew then himself. The next day the house was rainbow. They say if you paint over it, it will return to its rainbow glory the next day.

This is hilarious. I was born and raised in WS (and I'm of an age where we didn't have internet growing up), and I have known the "haunted" story to be BS since I was a kid. It's something kids from WS like to tell outsiders, and it cracks me up that it has gotten to be this big internet urban myth.

The house was painted that way because her (Anita's) husband was an artist, he wanted to do something different, the back of the house no longer has the psychedelic theme, it has been painted over and is white.

@cressazirkle The front of the house is rainbow, the back of the house has been painted over, it used to be a mural of optical illusions, they had no intentions of repainting the front of the house but if they did, rest assured, it would remain the color they choose to paint over the rainbow with, there is nothing paranormal about the house.

the story is true ! think aboout it why would someone paint their house rainbow like cmon now! the story was that andrew one day finally told his dad that he was gay and so idk wht else happened but ive heard that the dad killed andrew and the dad and his dog jumped off a brigde thats why they call it suicide bridge and they say everytime u pass there around 4 or smthg u see the dad walking his dad . and they say the owners that try to paint the house a different color the next day it would

@Chacha5678 I live in near west seattle. And the story I know is...Andrew was Gay,and his father hated him for being Gay so he killed him. And the initials on the roof side of the house is Andrew's initials. The house is rainbow colored because 'It's the sign' for Gay people. And when they try to re-paint the house,the next day in the morning it just goes back to the rainbow thyme.Me and 4 friend's went by there once after school because they live near by and we went near and got super scared!!

I was born in the house behind the Rainbow House. I learned my colors from the painting on the back. I was really disappointed when I went back and saw it was painted over :/ It can be painted over, people. My parents told me she was a really nice lady.

I too heard of the andrew story because I was looking for haunted places in Washington and this one sounded very cool. I just want to go see the house i thought it would be fun, and im in my schools GSA so that would be a cool story to tell if it was true. I really like this house it has an amazing paint job! =^-^=

Her husband painted it just to be different, her son was killed but had nothing to do with the house. She doesnt mind telling people the story about it if you happen to go by for a look.

Im not enirely sure, i just happened to search for haunted spots in Washington and this story popped up, i was in the area so I went to see the place for myself,it's very noticeable this house, I'm not even sure how the story got started, someone with a good imagination I suppose...

Well I have a picture of the back of the house which is very much painted over, its amazing the stories that people can tell and more amazing the people who believe, Anita Castillo has owned and lived in the "Andrews Rainbow House" for 44 years, and like she says the "a" on the roof is for Anita, and if you look on the other side of the roof there is also a "C" for Castillo, she's a neat lady and surely like to talk lol.

I heard a different version of this legend. Apparently Andrew told his father he was gay, and the father killed Andrew and himself. The house is now rainbow with an A on the roof, and every time they paint it, the next day it's back to rainbow.
