A true Rock N Roll song. An overlooked gem that doesnt sound dated and has enough gut and sinister of any Blues song to stand up there with the greats from The Rolling Stones, Clapton. Imagine Keith rocking this song. The video is ultra cool surrealistic menace! It simply ROCKS. The dark side of TTD, his Black Album!
And that's why they hated it. It was DIFFERENT. Nevermind how great it was (and still is; probably the least dated album in his catalog). If people hear something they're not accustomed to then they usually lash out in fear of it. That's always been the problem here in the U.S. and as a result many talented artists such as him are forced to go "undergound" or overseas where they're appreciated more.
I,m honestly not gay,but I have to say (purely as an affirmative statement)that Terence Trent D,arby is one of the most beautifully handsome men that has ever existed!
this song was an unexpected, incredible, beautiful oddity when it came out, and still is. singing is perfect, arrangements amazing, and the drum fills are unbelievably funky. this song is a classic and a one of a kind treasure at the same time. waiting for the artist to release another killer album. Peace.
Does anyone realize that this is one of the best records ever written? But in God's name, I hope I'm not viewing satanic ritual abuse in the background.
motherteresaprays, he changed his name for spiritual reasons, to find a new identity, and through a series of dreams, the name Sananda Maitreya came up and so he has adopted that name ever since. He actually changed his name to Sananda Maitreya as early as 1995, but it was official changed by law in 2001. If I'm wrong somewhat with this information Sananda fans, please correct me.
In the near future and I know that this is too much to ask, but can a group of Sananda fans expand the number of Sananda videos to more than 3 pages on Youtube. I feel that the collection of videos so far are fall so little and undermine how talented and well deserving of recognition Sananda is. I would love to see more interviews (especially during his Introducing and NFNF eras) and for goodness sake pose concert clips from the NFNF era.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! It's great to see another clip of Sananda from the Neither Fish Nor Flesh era. This is the second music video that I seen during this era. The first one was To Know Someone Deeply Is To Know Softly. It is just sad that Sananda doesn't have the rights to these music videos and the music industry selfishly keep them locked up away from the public for years. I hope that I see concert clips from this era soon. Thanks a bunch mzklvr. This really made my day.
