@alucardvred The first goal off the whistle is always to break your opponent down flat. If at first you don't succeed you then ride until you put in the next move. You may use any type of breakdown off the whistle. If your opponent does not go flat the Iowa ride is an excellent way to maintain control. Ideally you want to keep trying to break your opponent down flat even from the Iowa ride. However this ride lends itself well to an inside cradle if a breakdown doesn't succeed at first.
so when you shoot for that iowa inside cradle don't keep a tight waist but block the inner thigh first?
