  • well it would be better if i didnt had this slow explorer 8

  • Funny ad, but the OS still sucks!

  • Heheh! Bill is kinda fun in his old age.

  • I don't get it.... anyone, please?

  • Ugh... this is total branding... Its almost ironic that the two most humorless guys in their personal lives are up there doing comedy. Its up there with Laptop hunters hiring actors to portray "real people" choosing PC's over mac. When does it end!?!?!?!

  • I can see it now, new tv show coming this fall " Bill and Jerry Family "

    lmao.

  • hahahah this is so random, this would make the most amazing tv show.

  • power down....hilarious

  • Bill gates is the man...

  • whoa when's this comin out?never.if anybody asks-u dont know.

    hahahahahahaha!!!!!

  • awesome

  • so why are jerry seinfeld and bill gates living in the same house as an average family?

  • well...why not? haha

  • Failure is not an option! It's packaged with windows

  • least it was better than the other 1 :)

  • 2:30

    "I got nothing."

How could he have nothing when he's the richest man on earth? XD

  • "Are there any monsters in the story?" "Yes but it's ok there is a firewall!" 1:12

  • I knew there would be a comment on that.

  • This would make a funny sitcom. lol

  • i like this ad. its showing wealthy elites spending time with the people who buy their products, even if its just an ad.

    so, yeah, i've been brainwashed.

  • lol its like a really bad episode of seinfeid

  • -"There is an any monsters in this story?"

    -"Don't scare, there is a firewall" :P

  • couldn't watch to the end.. these 2 guys are very bad actors

  • Lol!!! this one superb ad it just makes u feel that MS is trying hard to connect with normal people.

I can see that lots of mac fanboys are trolling around just as they usually do.

Some facts remain..........MS has 90% of OS market share which means they cater to the needs of all sorts of people and not just the elite.OS X is inferior in security to windows vista.... just that ppl creating viruses dont want to waste their time to infect OS's none use.

  • This is very nice ad it so funny when Bill Gates teachs C++ for Story :P

  • "It's been in our family for six years" LOL

Also, Bill Gates doing robot == win

  • Haha, Bill Gates was teaching C++ as a bedtime story =D

  • ironic.

$300 million to "revamp Windows Vista's reputation"

rather than invest that money into real innovation and making vista the "better" OS, they're putting the most expensive Scotch tape known to man on cracks that will never heal.

the ad is funny, but TV ads telling people that mac or linux is inferior to windows is'nt going to sell more copies of vista. its too late for that.

  • You know what's ironic to me? I keep hearing this 300 million dollar figure attached to these two web videos. It's nonsense. It's clear they never spent anywhere near that much. AND..do you have any idea what tiny Apple spends? Over 400 million a year, that's what. Think about that.

  • it's a fact that microsoft spend 300 million on these 2 ads. they got a Ad spot in the NFL and getting Seinfeld to act in the 2 ads.

and the said 400 million spend by apple for advertising covers iPhone,iPods and Mac osx. these 2 ads alone is already 300 million. don't take me wrong i'm not a mac fan boy but i just don't like how M$ spend so much on ads and so little on development/updates and fixing vista.

  • Microsoft is a MONOPOLY, that's how. Their Windows installs in corporate america amount to a tax on the public, no different than John D. Rockefeller had. If we only had Senator Sherman with us today..

  • An mac's aren't a monopoly either?

  • Theres nothing wrong with vista, just the retards who can't figure it out, or attempt to run it on the desktop they got way in the '90's.

If your semi-compitent, you can figure out Vista. I've been using it for about a year now, and it's infinitely better than XP. I haven't used a Mac all that much, so I'm not going to say much about it in comparision :P

  • uhh dude i work at microsoft...vista is a piece of garbage...Windows 7 though...is awesome. Vista was a memory hog, driver issues and a plethora of other problems. It was like the second coming of windows ME. Windows 7 is the fix though

  • yes, totally agreed....

  • Sure you do. And I work at NASA. Robotic division. Power down...

  • ? ya real hard to get a job at MS...they employ like 70k people

  • yeah but... OS X is already good enough, no virus, no problems at all, they should spend more on ads....

  • you're missing the point dumbass

  • i love bill

  • The best part!!! 2:21

  • I can't believe it theres a lot of PC haters out here but any way for PC is the best no walls no boundaries you name it you got it....

  • I think the ad is great and funny, they both complement each other very well, I would love to see more.

  • How?? I would like to know your basis??

  • He donated 90% of the money to charity, dumb ass.

  • i agree and not only to charities but organizations as well such as scholarships for students

  • i love seinfeld...but what the.. * ?!

  • lol @ seinfeld's face @ 3:52

  • bill is cool, lol :-o

  • Personally, in an ad sense, it was terrible. It didn't market Microsoft at all. But I would rather see this on television than watch "HEAD ON, APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD" for 4 minutes straight. I actually found it very funny, especially the scenes with the old grandma in it.

  • i love it! :3

  • I don't understand why people can't see the value in these ads. Why can't you just see them for what they are? Hilarious, masterfully crafted shorts. The aesthetics and timing are so sophisticated I guess it just eludes most of the general public, which is a shame...But man...Kudos microsoft for spending the money on such a high-quality endeavor. I appreciate it, at least.

  • lot of PC haters on here lol

  • What I actually find funny is that Microsoft broadcast videos on Google.

  • WHAT DID THIS ADVERT ACCOMPLISH?!

I mean, I was entertained for 4 and a half minutes, but it didn't make me want to buy a PC. It just taught me that old women are nasty and teenaged girls are mean. I knew these things already. I'm confused, maybe so traumatized by this experience that I'll never use a PC again. Bad advertising guys, real bad...

  • LAME!

  • "yes there is.........but there is a fire wall" lol

  • haha I laughed at that quote :P

    classic add

  • it's my "me" time

  • What is the POINT of that video anyway ?

Making Bill look good ? He doesn't need that, he's a billionaire so he ALREADY looks good to every moron on this planet ...

  • Mac's all the way...

  • is it racist at all that the wife and husband keep asking jerry financial questions when they know he's just a comedian?

  • No, it's not...

  • oh ok...just wondering.

  • It would be racist if he called either of them "cracker" or "nigger".

  • +1 for your excellent fanboy-ism and exceptional English.

  • They were wise to dump this, would have been wiser still to not have made it at all

  • "Bill, you've connected over a billion people..."

yes, to viruses, and other malware.

  • great sports ! very funny lol

  • hey thats cool...

  • One rich crook hired another old rich guy to remind you to sit back relax and keep sending the money for the piece of crap that you seem to like so much :) enjoy

  • yep -- that pretty much sums it all ...

  • Why would this make me want to buy a PC anyway?

  • that was quite an entertaining ad! have to say! xD

  • Love this commercial! Thank you Microsoft!

  • Giggles.

  • lolol

  • WTF?

  • What a retarded concept for an ad campaign... Is it just me or do I always get the feeling microsoft is trying too hard to be "hip" or "cool"?

  • They were going to strand all the commercials together to make a story and to make a long message about windows, but it was costing to much. Also almost all companys are doing that so they can go to younger and old ages.

  • Ok one question. Generally commercials are meant to promote a product or tell us about it. This does none of that. What were they tryying to acomplish? (by the way I'm a PC guy just so you know)

  • Why does every commercial has to have a point? Can't people enjoy this?

  • Its a PC ad... What else is there to say...

  • rofl

  • koooooooooooooooooooooool

  • ROFL!

  • I love this thing! They should leave them in a kitchen! =)) so evil Still it was soo funny.... Are there any monsters in this story? Yes, but it's ok, there's a firewall.... I like also grandma!!! Love it! Definitely proud of being a PC!

  • is this sarcasm?

  • Is it just me or is this a real a-hole commercial

  • It's just you.

  • sure, Bill Gates.

  • HAhahaha! I love Bill Gates, he's so funny.

  • are there any monster in the story, yes but it's ok here is a firewall LOLOL

  • That is the funniest PC Ad yet!

  • Don't think so....they ain't so funny

  • This ad campaign lasted for two ads. It sucked. Plus, the Mac ones don't have to be funny, they have generated so much revenue, that it isn't funny.

  • I love the part from 1:05 to 1:17!

  • LOL!. yeah i switched from pc to mac a while ago...but i like bill gates...and seinfeld...this is an awesome commercial

  • I have this commercial on my Ipod :D

    This is awesome.

  • lol

  • lol bill at 4:01 when bill says I have. it just cracks me up.

  • lmfaoooooooooooo i love it when seinfield says i have too many CARS I GET STUCK INTO MY OWN TRAFFIC!!! lmfaoooooooooooo

  • lol its the guy from bee movie

  • I hope you're trolling. Please, be trolling.

  • no im not trolling...-.-

  • You seriously only know him from being the voice of that bee in the Bee Movie? Search "Seinfeld".

  • yeah that guy sounds like the dude from the movie with the bees

  • that's because he is :)

  • I think a lot of you are missing the point. The idea behind the advertising scheme is that Windows is adopting a more whimsical attitude that has more humor and accessibility and that can communicate to the common man. It's their retaliation to the Mac vs. PC ads. The corporate lifestyle is out, they're changing but still keeping functionality. Hence, adding humor to brains (Jerry to Bill).

  • Who took my teeth outta the freezer!?

  • Someone made a video about this and what they said was correct, they basically said this is totally wrong, jeeze microsoft are anything but "weird" they are supposed to be the proffesional guys not the strange weird querky guys. This just makes microsoft look stupid and idiotic not smart sufficient and proffesional.

  • Your in my seat! Funny man! This is probably my favorite commercial Even though I don't get the point of them, it's very humorous and enjoyable. GET OUT OF MY ROOM!

  • it's not so funny.

    Funniest part the delivery guy...

  • What's this? Two weirdos crahing into an random family and spiting them the whole time, hoping to be accepted, because they are some kind of popular?

Looks like MS new advert strategy is not to mention Windows.

  • Gates got lucky as hell with his buy-it-if-you-can't-compete-with it method.

I hope google makes an operating system and puts microsoft out of bussiness

  • And Google does exactly the same: Google bought YouTube!

  • There is a difference. YouTube is a produce that is fast and dependable. There are also many other services that offer video posting, so YouTube isn't your only choice. When Microsoft (crappy product makers) bought DOS, the discontinued a product that can run applications quickly without much overhead. Microsoft also wins in competition because it doesn't allow other competitors into the playing field. Remember, they were the ones that started the MCSE nonsense.

  • hahaha; i like the way HE do it xd

  • nix the power-down ending and I would love to share it : )

  • I would like to see a sitcom with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld getting in wacky adventures together.

    It would be awesome.

  • if anyone asks were you got it you dont know

  • everyone at Micro$oft are on crack...

  • "I got nothing"

  • it never gets warm

  • AMAZING !!!

  • lol so bill gates and jerry seinfield show up in front of your door

  • You mad, brah?

    I think you mad.

  • In the end... they're walking into a culdesac...

These commercials are really confusing to a consumer though, they don't really advertise any real product. Anyways, good team of Seinfeld and Gates, they just executed poorly.

  • When they're walking into the cul-de-sac I heard Gates say: "What about that pink house, over there?" They're probably looking for more houses.

Anyway, I think Microsoft is trying to re-establish a good reputation for itself.

I think by Bill Gates appearing in commercials with one of the biggest and most influential American icons of the 90's to today, Jerry Seinfeld, Gates really is trying to "connect with the people."

Plus, Seinfeld and Gates are my two biggest heroes.

  • Um... wow. I'm speechless.

  • I have no idea how I got to this video...But this is uhhh...just microsoft being weird

  • I don't know about you guys, but the Microsoft ads really don't make any sense to me....Especially this one.

  • This wasn't meant to make sense. It was meant to be funny

  • its ok to be insecure

  • "I got nothing!" - BIll Gates...lol!!!!!!!!

  • The Granma is the lolest.

Also like the "robot shut down and power up " @ the end.

  • i got so many cars, I get stuck in my own trafic =))))

  • Pure Win

  • so many things wrong with this commercial

  • wad's the point of this AD ? zzz

  • To combat Apple's AD's.

  • One of the best microsoft ads, to bad the killed the marketing line

  • 1:06 Classic Bill - "designs and polymorphism" - priceless

  • LOL

  • Really cool

  • I like this video

  • well no more mac fans for jerry

  • no....just no

  • they should have hired Larry David to write the commercial.

  • there is some gum in my roll.

    Hilarious!

  • u think bill tries to steal thier house:

  • nece jerry seinfeld is awesome

  • I think these adverts are very clever. They also sort of link with the tv show in Seinfeld. It's about nothing.

  • I like em

  • im clueless

  • I'm a HUGE Seinfeld fan but this is just awful.

  • I'd love to hang out with Bill Gates some day

  • me 2

  • i LOL'ed on the 'bill give me a little robot'

  • I think the best part has to be:

Bill: I can't believe you did that!

Jerry: What would I want with a plastic kangaroo?

Bill: It's a leather giraffe from Cabo San Lucas.

Jerry: You seem to know quite a lot about it.

Bill: That's all there is to know...

Laughed so hard at that for some reason - what an excellent defense.

  • The funny thing is, these commercials were created using Macs.

  • how do u know??

  • Is it Mac owned by Microsoft?

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • NO.

  • 1:09

Is there any monsters in this story?

    It's either Mac's or viruses/spyware.

  • I don't understand this :l What is the point of this add?????

  • lool !! the robot dance !! :) and the nerd one !

  • rofl go buy a mac, ya poof

  • what's funny is he probably said that on a pc lol :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDd

  • whats funny is the "probably".

pc sucks while i see this video on my powerbook

  • Bill: didn't we have this yesterday?

    Everone: ......

    Jerry: Thats what she said.

    LMAO god that was funny

  • use Linux. its virus free (compared to windows)

  • I like Bill, he is genious.

If you like dogs check my account.

  • I love dogs :) I checked out your acount, awsome!!!

  • hilarious video but i do not see at all how this could get a person to buy a computer O_O

  • Honestly, I don't think its meant to have a purpose. It's sort of like "Seinfeld," which was essentially just as odd as this. In reality, there's no meaning, its just about nothing. The real purpose of this ad is to make you curious, to get you to go on the internet and look at Microsoft's website, to bring more publicity to itself. Its a genius marketing ploy.
