  • Akiko shikata is AWESOME !!!!

  • I love this song.... :3

  • Where can I get the download for this song???

  • Whoa, this is the first time I've heard the full version and holy crap I did not expect that chanting at the beginning.

  • I love this song.

    :D

  • I'm confused! I've never heard a second opening for Umineko before...is there another season of Umineko or something? Can someone please tell me?

  • @NipahKawaiiRika I'm pretty sure this song is somewhere in the Umineko visual novels. I don't know where, but there definitely isn't, and probably never going to be, a second season of Umineko no Naku Koro ni :(

  • @NipahKawaiiRika This is the VN, original version of the opening. A second season of the anime will never be released, but Umineko is a story that doesn't really work animated either way.

  • @CallmeUMetal Oh I see. XD I'm so stupid lol. -3- Thanks

  • now this op deserves to be called the opening of umineko one of the creepiest scariest and goriest animes ever

  • Comment removed

  • @xXSOLARW0LFXx Ha, if you think the anime is anywhere near creepy, the VN will murder you.

  • 0:10 i got goosebumps.....

    0:30 i got cowbumps...

    1:40 village music?

    1:50 cool girl voice :D

3:15 i almost jizzed my pants.....

    5:50 *ran to washroom*

  • chills O.O oh yeah

  • I just think it's interesting, the intro (at 1:20) is actually written out in the anime's opening. Right after Maria's smile, and before Beatrice comes into full view at the part of "Katayoku no Tori" where she sings "Nakanaide", check out the words floating above Beatrice. My mind was blown when I saw that.

  • for some reason Nier pops into my head every time i hear this song. i wonder if this artist had some hand in that game's soundtrack. the game would have probably been better if they used this song

  • it gives me the goosebumps

  • it gives me ..... :O

  • @xkatie656 That's Shikata Akiko for you. She's really good at this kind of thing.

  • Comment removed

  • @lashrymose Uhm, no. The song was made specifically for the opening of the VISUAL NOVELS. You are the confused one here.

  • <3 awesome!

  • this anime is AWSOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Happy Halloween!

  • the song name is umineko no naku koro ni

  • does anyone knows the name of the song??

  • @FranziCintra Akiko Shikata - umineko no naku koro ni (that is the songs name)

  • This song canbe thought of as the embodiment of mystery, magic, and horror that the Umineko franchise entails.

  • Holy moly, 666 likes!

  • @Ebb1993isgreat O_O indeed...that's not good is it?

  • @Ivychandessu Maybe Beatrice supports the Devil? And I think this song suits October well, don't you think?

  • @Ebb1993isgreat because of halloween? and witches and stuff, yeah :D Although I never celebrated, it's not a tradition on my country, at least where I live, I believe in other parts, like the north ppl celebrate it

  • @Ivychandessu Not only that, but the dramatic chanting and Akiko Shikata's singing best suits Halloween!

  • Umineko no Naku koro ni-revive<<<by whom? it was a good song, so that's why i'm searching for the artist.

  • @CX222666 I believe the artist is Akiko Shikata. Sorry if I am wrong!

  • @kyatorin thank you for responding.

  • This is the most suitable song when writing.

  • I always thought this song really did fit Halloween.

  • @Ebb1993isgreat I play this song every October, that's why. Along with the Rengoku version and the anime opening.

  • I love love love this song!!! Akiko Shikata IS the Goddess of music. But i must say i think the ~Rengoku~ version is wayy better. More creepy kihhihihihhi!!!

  • Omg.... Am I the only one that hears a 'Pikaaa~' at 0:56 - 0:58?

If I'm not the only one: FUCK YEAH A PIKACHU SINGS THE UMINEKO SONGS :D

  • @xXJunMinamiXx ahhhhh PIKACHUXDDD

  • @xXJunMinamiXx You are the only one ¬¬,

  • Comment removed

  • @Vxpiriax well i asked like 5 of my friends and they all heard it :3

  • Brilliant chorus.

  • Does "Umineko" mean sea-cat? (I know its a bird, but is that the translation?)

  • @oOMaWOo it means seagull. the two words seperatly would mean sea-cat. Umi no neko would also mean sea-cat. :3

  • @taylorinuzuka AWESHUM, thanks... I thought I would b trolled if i got it wrong, I knew it was seagull from the beggining but i dont understand how a seagull is a freakin sea cat for japanese ppl, but whatever they r my favourite culture... after mine of course

  • @oOMaWOo no problem. I THINK they call it a sea cat because they consider the sounds a seagull makes similar to that of a cat. I think Japan is my favorite culture even before mine lol. I do love my Italian culture but my family is compeltely American-ized and the only time I get any culture is when I go to Buca de Bepo xP

  • @taylorinuzuka Wait, they have Buca de Bepo in Italy?

That is somehow amazing to me.

  • @EdwardTheMagnificent ah, no no xD I live in California. But...I'm Italian. I have no idea if they have Buca de Bepo in Italy.

  • I really have to question why YouTube thinks I should watch Nickelback's "Someday" next after watching this... Hmm, maybe there is some deeper connection.

  • well that was cool :)

  • 4:10 to 4:50 Is it just me or it gives me the *Resident Evil* feeling? Anyways Love the song and its awesome!

  • Mp3 plz :D

  • Hate the anime, love the music.

  • Reminds me of Ar Tonelico music.

  • @matteste So it should, Akiko Shikata sings both.

  • Battler reminds me of Phoenix Wright! xD

  • @SoundlyAwakeTonight

I thought so too!! I think it must be the finger pointing..

  • @SoundlyAwakeTonight Yup, and when he wants to say an important thing he points with his finger too :D

  • I love both the anime and the music.

  • ummmm..... does this anime have anything to do with higurashi no naku koro ni?

  • @sunbeami No, it's just coincidence that the VNs were made by the same people and share the same name.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai = When They Cry and When They Cry 2.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru = When They Cry 3 and When They Cry 4. (You can see this if you look at the title screen for the VNs, like what's shown on the video.)

The relationships between the 2 sets aren't strong though.

  • Well, looks like 10 people won't be on their way to the Golden Land then... :P Also, these two songs are amazing :D.

@sunbeami They aren't the same story, but they are linked tentatively. The common consensus, and Word Of God confirms this, is that the Higurashi series can be considered a game played between Frederica Bernkastel and Lambdadelta, and the Umineko series is a seperate thing that happens later. The anime includes a few shoutouts, like Maria watching the Higurashi anime on TV.

  • @crispymongoose Try considering by appearance and relationships, too.

    Satoko = Lambdadelta

    Rika = Bernkastel

Lambda and Bern are friends and so are Satoko and Rika.

  • @TwiliAezure Yeah, I noticed that too. Although according to Word of God, Bern and Lambda are a lot more than 'just friends' ;). And yes, I do mean canonically...

  • @TwiliAezure Um, wrong.

    Lambdadelta=Takano

Lambdadelta is 34 in Greek, and Takano's name (Miyo) is written with the characters for 3 and 4 (34)

  • @193Raiden If you go by the setup of the stories, and the anime in general, it points away from Lambdadelta being Miyo, and their number similarities are just coincidental.

  • @Coolboy1234 Well, isn't the "game" that Bernkastel won against Lambdadelta the one of Higurashi? In Higurashi, it was Rika that was against Takano Miyo, and Rika the one who won in the end. And I seriously don't see this "Lambdadelta-Satoko" connection. I mean, more than Satoko, Lambdadelta looks EXACTLY like Tanashi Miyoko/Takano Miyo (as Miyoko was Miyo's name before adoption).

  • @xXBlackxXxRoseXx Actually that game keeps me confused. In one of the tea parties, forgot which. There is a hint that Lambdadelta is Satoko. But I agree with you, it would make much more sense if she's Takano. But of course, maybe she's both, in the same way as Beatrice can control all characters on the gameboard.

  • @Darkanii Ryukushi07 actually said that Lambda has nothing to do with any of the characters and her looking like Takano was just a Red herring. Also Miyoko looks like Lambda not the other way around considering that Lambda was drawn before Miyoko was.

  • @xXBlackxXxRoseXx Bernkastel is the embodyment of all off the dead rika's that didn't make it past june 30th, it is said just before the wedding starts, the memory of what happened (repeating that same month tohusands of times) is what made bernkastel so cruel and cold, it is also why she desperatly seeks for a way to end her boredom, but no Bernkastel was a piece in Higurashi not a witch.

  • @edl01reviews I believe there was something about two Bernkastels, and the piece in Higurashi was Frederica Bernkastel, which is the one who you are talking about.

  • This is so beautiful it gives me shivers! <3

  • you can download the two songs from here:

  • Why was this recommended, I dont know what this is...

  • @nevrest Instead of questioning it, see if you can enjoy it. It's a small look into a intense story of murder, money, and magic.

  • is there any way for me to get a hold of this song? the one you made or found mixed/

  • You got to give us the download link. Please!

  • Qual'è il nome di questa canzone?? vi prego rispondete! ç_ç

  • @nikolas1025 I think you mean Ar tonelico, well I think they are the same singers but is a different song, and Umineko is not in ps2

  • this isnt the opening! i dont get it!

  • @Flowreach It's the opening for the VN animenoob.

  • this song, whether its a mix or not is great

  • 1:19 click on it if u want to skip the prolo :D <3

  • @Devilmon484 The prologue is what makes it more epic though! It builds up tension, ya' know?

  • @Devilmon484 Why would you do that? This song is beautiful.. :'(

  • Why do I keep listening to this over and over again? It's been over half-an-hour now...

    lol

  • Looks like 8 people missed the like button. I love this. >w<

  • were can i find this version

  • this song sound a lot like the one from the game series of ar tonelico when they chant the hymmnos in some cinematics. sound like not the same don't take me wrong the is a beautiful song. i'm just saying is just like. i made it clear cause there are those who come saying that you are wrong you don't know what are you talking about etc...

  • =0 q awesome than song

  • I want this soooooo bad now!!!! Where did you get it ColonelCrunchBerry!? I MUST find it! Such amazing harmonies! Not to mention the voice talent, what its about, the fact that there is a cuior backround, or that is from a game about bas ass witches who keep owning an annoying bickering family!! ITS AMAZING

  • Can you put a download link please?? I don't find this version for mp3!! ; A ;

  • Seems that no one has realized that this song is actually a mix from two songs from the VN's opening single:

    1) Fukkatsu no Hi ~Prologo~

    2) Umineko no Naku Koro Ni

  • @suiryuukishi That's right. But I liked the way the first song carried over to the other and I wanted to make a complete version.

  • @ColonelCrunchBerry Make sense.

  • @ColonelCrunchBerry Wait what exactly are the two songs?

  • @ColonelCrunchBerry Excellent sense you have there.

  • @suiryuukishi i noticed and it kinda annoys me XD the break when it changes ti the umineko opening is to noticeable i think.. but it's still fantastic ^^ love the VN opening

  • @suiryuukishi faggot...

  • It always seems to be the same choir. o.o

  • This song is really good, but do you know the name of it? O_o

  • @Frans93jeca I think it's simply "Umineko no Naku koro ni" by Shikata Akiko :) There's an iltalian version named "Rengoku", it's different but has the same "music line" (don't know how to explain it).

  • i'd rather know japanese and then italien but if i chose 1 it wud be japanese :P

  • best part are the second italians they say :Beatrice! Cruel Witch!

    Your beauty is unmatched

Beatrice! Oh! Your kindness is capricious

I can never be freed from your spell

If this pain must endure, then at least have mercy on me for just once

  • @kastratosephiroth you that one that start from 2:22? of course it does...

  • WERE DID YOU GET THIS SONG I CANT FIND IT AND I WANT IT PLZ TELL ME!!!!

  • This is the OP for the VN

  • AUCH ESTA SUPER PADRE

  • the song is very great

  • Mm, this song is amazing...<3

Does anyone know where I could find the lyrics to it? I can't seem to find them...

  • Can't get enough of this.

  • what is the name song?

  • Umineko Naku Koro ni.

    same as the anime/VN

  • @XxXLighXxX This song is called Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. It's the same title as the Visual Novel and Anime. Though the anime uses a different song, called One Winged Bird by the same singer.

  • Track found. Just need the title of the song and the download link.

  • you can use the youtube to mp3 converter and its legal, you just need the like of the vid for the audio (not only songs) just search it with google

  • Just downloaded it. But I've used an app from my Firefox.

  • @PsionicumX

ops meant link not like lol

  • @EMOshoter Okay. Anyway, thanks for your previous suggestion.

  • konan + higurashi = Umineko (gadets replaced by magic) .. wel thats my opinion anyways..

  • Rei exists.. in your dreams XD (hanuu god mode glare..)

  • me too^^

  • What's the name of this song?

  • most anything that ends in "no naku koro ni" is guaranteed to be really cool.

  • I'm totally agree ^^

  • Most anything that ends in "when they cry"? Yes, yes I agree.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Badass

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. Almost as Badass.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Almost Badass.

  • lol what was your opinion on Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei?

  • @Keyblade335

    It doesn't exist.

    *Warning glare*

  • @Cloud801

    O.O

    got it

  • @Keyblade335

Rei? Rei? I have no idea what madness this is you speak.

I know all the No Naku Koro Nis. Rei is not one of them sir, you are mistaken.

  • Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei is real though *confused stare* am i being left out of some sort of club?

    :3 *chirp!*

  • @vampirefoxgirl777 they are talking about games.

  • @Cyllid Rei exsists 0_0 They made it an OVA season type thing. It's been out since last year.

  • @xXTokyoPandaXx I see you've become afflicted with the disease too.

If only a cure wasn't so hard to find.

  • @Cyllid Rei is real you retard!!!!!!! Super Scription of Data is the OP look it up. You're not a Higurashi expert any fan would know about rei by now unless they just started watching

  • @xXTokyoPandaXx /sigh

Let me explain it to you clearly, since the subtleties of sarcasm seem lost on you. I know Rei exists, I just hate it. Hate it so much, and what it did to Higurashi, that I say it doesn't. Because I refuse to acknowledge it as part of the amazing Higurashi story. Get it? Good. And if you look back at how the posts were, you could see that.

Did I claim to be a Higurashi expert? No.

You're not smart for pointing out it really exists. I'm saying it shouldn't exist.

  • @Cyllid Yeah... the first season (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) was a truly amazing thriller/mystery anime. The second season (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai) was pushing it, but it gave answers that left many viewers (such as myself) confused. But after that, the series kinda went downhill from there - just something to keep the fans happy in my opinion.

  • @GenericUsername320

Yup, exactly. We wanted more, so they just hacked some together as if to say "be careful what you wish for".

  • Is there a version where ahahahah.wav is played in loop during the intro ? It would suit soooo well!

  • 2:45-3:13 omg

  • Quiet demonic chanting early on in the song.

  • waa!!! sugoi!!

  • where did you find this version?!

  • @01yhesi try video2mp3^^

  • God I love it at about 1:35 when the (I THINK) flute starts. I'd kill (Eva Beatrice) to do that on the flute!

BTW if you posted the Japanese and/or English lyrics to this I would be forever grateful.

  • @zregoob with italian rylics too? don't forget those they are awesome.
