Just reading what you said about giving up 5 years ago.

I was a brilliant piano player when I was younger, winning competitions etc but when I got into my late teens I got a bit bored too.

Suddenly after about 5 years I got a bit of a wake up call to start playing again,and after not touching a piano for 5 years I realised that the talent never left me. I now play in front of thousands of people in my town, and get an amazing buzz out it as much as playing to my wife friends and family.

Look at the following clip (broken into two clips) and if you havnt seen them already, watch them. Sometimes people need a bit of insperation, and dont let someone who's better than you put you off. Seing people perform like the player above should give us all insperation to go out and play to our best at whatever level we are at, and mostly Just Enjoy Ourselves.
