@dogsoldier123 Remember the code is player.additem CODE AMMOUNT so, for an expample let's say the code for lockpicks is 00000A. You'll do player.additem 00000A 1200. That'll give you 1200 lock picks. If it says ObjectID is missing than the Objects ID is not specified. Which would be the 00000A. (And most codes for items are like that. They'll have a bunch of zeroes and random letters)

Is it possible to completly mess up the game with cc's?? i mean if you make a new save after messing up another, will that still work, or can it pretty much destroy the whole game??

Another thing, can you change the size of buildings/trees/etc??

@nothuman100 Changing size of buildings, trees, npcs falls under the TES construction set. CC's only work on the save file that you're currently under, so starting a new game starts from fresh. Console Commands aren't really that bad to use, just stay away from weird script commands and stick with stat changing and stuff like that.

I am sooooooo close to solving my problem. It turns out you need to hold shift in order to activate the "tilde key", i tested it on Microsoft word. HOWEVER when I try it in Oblivion it doesn't work.

I've tried re-mapping the key but no luck.

@TheJeff1488 If you're running Vista then in the description of my video there's a patch to make it so console can work. I've had it work fine for XP and 7, so I think Vista is the only game that doesn't allow the console commands. You can also try running the game as administrator (Right clicking the oblivion icon, and going to "Run as administrator"

@robi3366 It's built into the game. It's more of like a "Developer tool" if you wana call it. I've heard some problems with vista being able to open the console. And I have no idea how to fix that...pretty sure there's tutorials on the internet. Vista is garbage any way :)

@qwertyb17 Reset the items? No. Each individual person or item is static-dynamic. What I mean by that is: a item is static by default until you kill that person, or pick up that item. So no...there is no way you can reset any item. You can however spawn any item in the game to your inventory. You also can spawn any NPC infront of you.

@qwertyb17 I would keep luck pretty low because luck doesn't have the +3 or +4 you get from levels like some do from training them. Also, you can always lower a skill when it gets up to high so there really isn't a problem there. Also, It doesn't crash your game...it just prevents you from leveling up because all your skills are maxed...so you'll be stuck at the leveling screen.

@MrCrazi7 For me § is the one next to 1. Try alot of keys. Or you can change your keyboard settings to english or something. Then it should work with the button next to 1.

Hey jw is there a way to reset the things you put in the console command whatever? i want to try it but i dont want to mess up the whole game. And also, if i give obe character cheat stats like 250 strength, will all my characters have that or will i have to re enter it for each one? i really wanna try this console thing out but i want to eb able to play the game like normal as well.

@Squeedly135 Specific console commands are not perminate. The only ones that are are the ones that change stats. Some will have a "on" and "off" feature (Usually 1 for on and 0 for off like noclip) and it's only for 1 specific saved game, so 1 command doesn't effect other saves. If you're really skeptical about using it I would make a new character, and change it's stats to see how you like it. I've never had any problems with it...just make sure you keep the stats low so you can level.

Hey guys. Im playing the SHivering Isles and i am trying to complete the LADY OF PARANOIA quest, i got the to the end of the quest, then im supposed to listen to the Duchess who is supposed talk to a prisoner right before she gets tortured. There is no dialog when it happens, and the Duchess says: Come see me when were in the Chamber. I AM in the chamber and nothing happening. Please tell me how to correct the glitch, thanks.

@TheCommunist100 That's strange. I'm assuming you're playing on the PC? If so, you're probably experiencing a problem with the installation files for shivering isles itself. I would try to launch JUST oblivion and shivering isles...not other 3rd party mods. If that doesn't work you might need to reinstall oblivion with shivering isles because its sounding like shivering isles is corrupted.

@Xsuperman939X Yes you can, but it depends on the processor size and the graphics card. Make sure you're laptop can run a game like this before trying...but a Laptop is essentially the same as a desktop just different mouse controls.

NPC is none player controlled...pretty much the game's units...like a shop owner, or anything besides you that moves, talks, etc.

You know I'm not entirely sure...I'm thinking that if the console is built INTO the game than the console can be opened no matter what the operating system is. You see, the console writes specific entries and codes that have already been entered into the game by the developers...the console was kept as a tool for manipulation of the game by using pre-determined codes. So I seriously doubt the OPERATING system will inflict with the console itself if the game can be ran on the operating system.

Make sure when you put those codes in, select a NPC. Open your console, and select the NPC you want to mess with, then type the code in.

Open console. When the console is open you can move your corsair around, and then select the NPC. Their name should pop up on the top center of your screen.
