I was born in the wrong generation. Why couldn't I have been born when the GOOD Disney movies came out? This is my favorite movie! That and I speak proper grammer.
im 14.. im watching this movie with my little brother the other day, im laughing at the funny parts and he keeps looking at me like im retarded.. then i sing all the songs and i get the same looks... stupid children raised on the wrong Disney!!!!
New and a bit alarming. I'd say so. You don't even know about the transformation. You figure he'll be a beast permanently. He's not human, and he's your captor! You're falling in love with him!
Belle's my favourite Disney princess, but she DOES exhibit the symptoms of Stockholm Syndrome to the T, and it technically would be bestiality if she falls in love with him...
@Exmoor123 Meh that's kind of the joke, but I don't think she legitimately does, besides, the love isn't sexual in the movie the love is more of a friendship (till the end when he transforms then she's like...yep!). Basically, it's a fairy tale, so it doesn't apply to REAL life anyway! XD
what the hell happened????? you don't see this kind of beautiful illustration in movies anymore everything is done digitally now. digital is good but it fails to capture the beauty of carefully and time sought hand crafted art. i am an artist and have a degree in art illustration. it suck to think that unless you are computer trained there is no real use for a rare & natural gift like this. you can be taught to use a laptop but art like this is a gift that can't be taught. if you agree hit like.
@ttanner04 Actually beauty and the beast was the first disney done digitally. But I do agree that it is much more beautiful than what we see nowadays. Except perhaps for some of the pixar films, but it's true that although up and wall-E were sweet, they somehow didn't have the charm of these disneys. Then again I admit I might be slightly buyoust seeing as these are the disneys of my childhood..... unbeatable !!! :) thank you walt disney!!!!
@aishwaryafan91 Actually The Great Mouse Detective was the first Disney film to use computer graphics. Particularly the scene in the clock tower. Sorry if I sound nit picky, I just really love that film and I love this film too. All the films from the silver and golden disney era are wonderful. It is true that the films these days don't have the charm they once had. :)

i love beauty and the beast its a classic and although everyone loes new movies (eg twilight) you can never beat something like this its just brilliant!
There is true beauty in the soul Belle looked in the beast eyes and saw the soul the true beauty inside. She did not look at the outter packaging as so many people do. After all the beast was once a human being before the spell.
@yogaman99 Indeed... but hopefully Disney will start another Renaissance with Princess and the Frog... who knows?
By the way, I prefer 2D animation MUCH MORE than 3D animation. I think that 3D animation should only help 2D animation (like the Stampede scene in Lion King, Deep Canvas in Tarzan, ballroom dance scene in Beauty and the Beast etc.)
