i AM SO glad I found your video and have watched it several times, I shall walk up the lane where I live and go and pick up a few of the sheeps wool up from the field and have a go with my crochet hook I want to start spinning but do not have a clue what to do. You explain it sooooo well without a spinning wheel too !!! can you use this wool when spun straightaway to crochet with regards Denise@linencompany.co.uk
Thank you so much! What a wonderful tutorial and history. I love it. I have wanted to learn to spin for years, have a drop spindle and now need to find a sheep ;-)
Thank you! I made it specifically for California 4th grade teachers and parents so they and their student/children would have success with spinning. Childhood has so many frustrations and adults expect way too much from kids. Learning how to spin reminds adults how difficult things are when you do them the first time. It's humbling - but worthwhile!
Someone from Kazakhstan is watching my video (!) I'm sure you could teach me a thing or two about spinning! Kazakhstan is one of the cradles of civilization where people have been spinning for millennia.

Thanks, that was really informative. I've been wondering for a while how to do this sort of thing, and "how it's made" hasn't done it yet, ha ha.
