@maroonloo yes, this toilet was a hotel up in northern AZ. It did have an issue with the refill tube being pointed into the tank itself or just being blocked. But honestly, I prefer toilets that flush this way anyways. Perhaps it's not a really swift and fast flush, but these Kilgores really do the job nicely and it allows the water to really sweep everything off the bowl surface with the first big 'blast' of the flush. And, at 12 seconds, the flush is about average length for these toilets.
@maroonloo The older American Standard Cadets definitely needed a full bowl of water to really get the flush going correctly because they were 5.0 gal models and their trapways slower and tank-bowl inlets were smaller. If a flush lasts longer than about 13-15 seconds on a gravity bowl and it is a 3.5 gal or newer, there could be issues getting everything to go down....otherwise they work great.
@flushboyaz Yeah, cadets defiantly need enough water in the bowl. The tern 'gravity' toilet annoys me, because really, every toilet is gravity, because without gravity there'd be nothing to pull the stuff out of the bowl!

The water level in the bowl should be higher for a better flush, the refill pipe musn't be i nthe overflow.
