I don't understand the comment that "no hate crime legislation has been passed". Murder and assault are already a crime, and if it is motivated by hatred based on race or sexual orientation it automatically carries a life sentence. Why is more legislation necessary?

I am concerned about the legality of pSartaWi's comments, & in fact did speak with an attorney this evening about what options I had in terms of pursuing pSartaWi for his hate speech.

I realized I feel attracted to same sex when I was 5, I continue struggling until I reach 18, I decided to accept that I'm gay but my Str8t act & look remains unchanged, now at 25, I am still confused, I found myself attracted to a girl but not extremely as to the guy, I am studying now how to overcome how to be 100% straight.
There is absolutely nothing to resist if you are gay, just try to accept it and be happy and proud of who you are, trying to 'overcome' your nature will only result in unhappiness. Prejudice is the problem and that is what you should be fighting against.
Hm... median age of 13. I was suspicious around that age, but I wasn't fully sure til I was 14. And honestly, I was expecting it to be a life-changing revelation or something, but it just felt natural.

The truth is many homophobes are insecure about their own sexuality. Add to that the fact that bisexuality confuses the issue of choice and you have a lot of mixed up people out there.
hold up, bisexuality does not confuse the issue of choice! Don't gays choose their partners? So do Bis, but they choose a partner they love, and as long as they love them, it does not matter the sex. It's all irrelevant anyhow, since we know now that men can have high estrogen and testoterone, although it's due to XXY syndrome.
I believe homosexuality is wrong, nothing is going to change that, but what happened to all these people is horrible. I would not like this to happen to anybody. Hugs Steven. I had a mate, Gary, who was kicked out of his home and disowned by his family at 16. Spent some time on the streets & ended up getting raped & infected with aids. He did build a life for himself & was a really nice guy. After some 16 years rejection by his family, heard his mum was sick & tried again - but was told to p*** off. Died tragically this year shortly after

Homphobics are not "insecure about their sexuality", they're just assholes! They think it's abnormal, and the truth is, it is! I am bi, and I will be honest, when it comes to human sexuality, there are many defects, even fuckups, but being gay or bi is tech. not normal! It's been proven that men and women can both have high levels of Testoterone and Estrogen, thus complicating gender, I am not normal, but damn it, I am proud that I'm not! I think what touched me most about this video was seeing Ellen standing up there crying. Or atleast I think that was Ellen. I was only a little kid when Matthew died and well even though I don't know him or the many others that have died for just being themselves, my heart and love goes out to them. The truth is many homophobes are insecure about their own sexuality. Add to that the fact that bisexuality confuses the issue of choice and you have a lot of mixed up people out there.

hold up, bisexuality does not confuse the issue of choice! Don't gays choose their partners? So do Bis, but they choose a partner they love, and as long as they love them, it does not matter the sex. It's all irrelevant anyhow, since we know now that men can have high estrogen and testoterone, although it's due to XXY syndrome.

I believe homosexuality is wrong, nothing is going to change that, but what happened to all these people is horrible. I would not like this to happen to anybody. I do have gay friends, and by no means have any hate towards them, but I will never condone the act. That is just what I have been taught and believe, but don't construe this as hatred. Again, I am genuinely sad that this happens to anybody. This needs to stop.

This is not the answer, hate creates hate and fear creates fear. this approach is both hetrophobic and insensitive to an entire race of people. most chirstians are understanding of homosexuality its just the minority who cause problems. and yes although some country have a age limit that is too high it is there to protect.
