"They" do not call it the history train, I simply referred to it that way because of the evolutionary history of CSX that is present on this train. There are numerous old paint schemes and cars in the names of long gone railroads which are now part of CSX.
were i live they have plenty of old units like that rollin around because they company is owned by NS and CSX-former(N&W and ACL)and the company known as the WInston Salem Southbound railway leases old units from the two companies I'll put videos on soon.
Around here in NW Ohio I see units in stealth all the time, Mother-slug and Mother-Mate sets, C40-8 even GP15's....Also very common are old gons and covered hopper like seen in video every once in a while i'll see different Chessie assorted boxcars. Alot of PC & EL history. Last summer I saw a B&O 86' Hi cube but had no camera... Ballast cars have the most history, have seen just THIS year SCL, ACL, L&N, EL, C&O, B&O...

Nice shots! I just captured CSX 4847 on film. Is that a fouled K-5LLA horn on it?
