  • Is chastanet your Gay lover, saying we need that stupid fuck in order to move forward..!!

  • Chastanet. man on a mission. :) I say, the country's tourism industry is in good hands.

  • What the hell you know about st.lucian politics ?..st.lucia government doesnt know how to market st.lucia properly,I see jamaican commercials all the time here in toronto,st.lucia,Sandals, sandals is not the government..

  • Apparently, being a St. Lucian doesn't qualify me.

Okay, enlighten me. WHat should I know about St. Lucian politics besides the fact that Chastanet has been the most transparent Minister there. Is on radio and television regularly so that we know what's happening in the tourism ministry and he has communicated to the people a clear direction for Tourism in the country.

  • Has stated exactly what you just said, that marketing is what the ministry needs to increase its focus on instead of managing festivals on the island. That Chastanet is bursting his ass trying to return Sandals to the negotiating table to reconsider the joint marketing initiative.

  • Whiles Sandals may not be the government, my Lucian expat friend, St. Lucia does need to work with foreign investors in order to develop the country. The important thing is to remind them that though they are here for the money and great investment opportunities (because that is the nature of business - to make money) they are also here for the benefit of the people, and moving the nation forward.

  • To create a stronger economic infrastructure which will create greater returns on capital and open up more investment opportunities.

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP !

  • And you think he is the only one fit for the position..he doesnt belong buddy...former colonialist..or his parents at least..

  • Look what happened in Zimbabwe when Mugabe forced out all the white farmers and gave the agricultural land to his black people. The economy tanked and now they have the highest inflation rate in the world, a non existent middle class, and a 90% unemployment rate.

The black farmers didn't have the knowledge to make the land productive enough to sustain the economy.

  • Unfortunately we still need to look to our former colonialists to sustain the economy and hopefully steer us towards true independence.

Chastanet may not look like the majority of us but I think his intentions are genuine. As St. Lucians we need to become more knowledgeable and use that knowledge to debate government policy more effectively, helping the politicians to govern the country more effectively and lift the standard of living for all St. Lucians.
