If you don´t allow mistakes in music then you have no grasp of art. Listen to Miles Davis and listen to false notes, boy that is so cool so ultra sonic. Listen to Stanley Clarck play the acustic bass you go nuts with all those spacey notes growing out of his bass, probably a thousand notes are crooked. Cool man. Jazz allows that kind of artistic moves. You still have to do some hard listening man, to apprceciate the beauty of sound, you have a long way to go.

Beautiful. I thank my brother for turning me onto DS 23 yrs ago when I was 17. Still listen to "Gone to Earth" alongside "Snow Borne Sorrow". I love this song for almost 20 years now. I did not know about an acustic version. Sry, but it is horrible!!! There are false chords!!! Maaaaaaaaaan. I am absolutely disappointed. Even poets have to do clean work. Remove it, do it again, that should work better, I am absolutely sure.

oh, well u actually are right. I have to listen to music some times before discovering the hidden charme of a piece. And I have no problems with cover versions, nor live music nor unplugged versions. What strikes me really hard, is the following: I do know the original quite well. The harmony structure is original, but I can follow it, understand it. I come from Vienna, so my feeling for good and wrong structure are strongly influenced by classic music.

Good point. What sounds right and what sounds "false" or dissonant? The history of music shows that more and more "original" things sound "good" to us. Our musical language is growing (the blue note e.g.).

In that very case, my personal feeling was dissapointment. The harmony structure of a song creates a special kind of flow inside of me, and this flow was disrupted by these chords. So this is where I cried out: wrong.

But I do respect david!

LOL; yeah, he looks a bit worn for the wear, Bullock, but he can never be the pretty Glam boy again. He does need a makeover, but that voice will always sound like quivering honey, which makes it all worth listening to. He is one of a few artists who have actually improved with age.
