To all the idiots who want to know how to make a Pig spawner: You cannot make one :) (Note: You also have to be within 16 blocks for the spawner to spawn)

the ceiling is pig spawners

the floor is water flowing to a corner

the bottom middle is random dirt with room to fall into water

Yep, I think the same as rickswan1... HOW do you guys get or make the monster- and animal spawners? I have found some "dungeon" a short time ago, where is one monster spawner... But I know that if I try to get it by breaking it with some pickaxe, the spawner will breaks and I'll get nothing... Well, I don't know... maybe I'm a little bit "stupid" or something like that... But it doesn't matter. I only wanted to ask this if someone knows and could answer... :) Thanks.

@Marsuland97 Monster spawners are not available unless you use an inventory editor like invedit, in which case you can only place pig spawners, or mcedit and move the current spawners.

Also putting fire in the corners of the spawn pit will make the pigs/cows jump and run until they hit the water.

@flusher84265 while i can see where you are coming from with the "why not just edit in pork" this way it means you can use inv edit once at the begining of the game to get some pig spawners and then you dont need to touch it again, it works great for people like me with short attention spans because you can play on hard and not get totally destroyed because you cant find any pigs to make food out of, but if inv editing food in is on the agenda: mushroom stews (Y) :P

Ok so get this, I was building this and once I got done I went back there at night not knowing I had the difficulty set to hard so I went down into the basement type thing to collect my porkchops and a creeper blew it all up and killed me! Fucking creepers.
