He just wiped out ALL the roman cities... You think he would have kept some. After all, they would have xpanded his borders and given him additional income... There might have even been a wonder or two in one of them...

He also seems remarkably reluctant to give up Classical Era techs for massive amount of gold... Taking 200 for two or three techs could increase the size of his treasury by 33-50% !
