@1Uhlala you should limit their time with mirrors. they will become taachad to the mirror, and will hate you, because they wont likte you anymore. thats what I do to mine.

my bird is adopted, his past owners taught him to love mirrors... He's been with me for about 2 years and he's attached to his mirror but not as attached as he is to me, he only dances in front of the mirror if I'm dancing with him and kisses his reflection when I'm making "kissing sounds" : P I have a video of him that you can watch if you want.

This cockatiel is a pearl, which makes it most likely female. In pearl cockatiels, the male loses his juvenile pearling after he molts into his adult plumage and looks more like a gray (around 4-6 months old), and the females retain the pearling on the back and shoulders on into adulthood. Don't let the talking fool you into thinking it's a male because females can be very vocal too. =D Either way its an awesome 'tiel!

I'm not sure, but over time, if you say something a lot, like a phrase. Your bird will start to mimic.

We moved his cage into the living room where we all spend alot of time.. once on the top of his cage - he chirps like crazy - and in two days he's started singng the Andy Griffith song .. they like being where everyone is - in natural light, where they can bring in the morning with singing. Be very very patient. No sudden moves or loud noises. TALK to him/her a lot. If your bird is not paired, he/she is going to bond to you or someone in your your house eventually. Train on the "UP" command with your finger once s/he gets comfortable. Get "Cockatiels for Dummies" and read up. Graet book.
