@SciFiAssasin Go see Muse live.... when we saw them Muse played a piano solo that touched on some classical piano bits and including the Doctor Who theme which all led into the opening of the next song on the set list. Is was really cool, pity I dont remember what songs they did...

Even when this is built on Starlight, actual Muse songs, such as Map of the Problematique and mostly Uprising owe a lot to Dr Who Theme Music. Wouldnt you think so?

Every note, every chord, every sequence has been played. It's all about the context.

There's a definite moment in Uprising where it's very similar to Domonic Glynn's 1986 version (15 seconds in), but to say it's the song's a total rip-off is a bit much, A nod to Who, possibly, but not a rip off.

Would I  put it past Muse to knowingly riff on the Who theme? Anyone with a clue about electronic music knows that the tune is one of the most innovative pieces ever composed.

I agree with you. A friend of mine, who isn't really a Who fan was like "doesn't this sound like the Doctor Who theme to you?" and I said "yes, that sounds like a total rip off of the 1980-85 theme" and then I linked her to it and she agreed. Bad form, Muse!

I love the Doctor Who theme tune and Starlight is one of my favouirite songs but i dont think that this is that good. It's a good idea though. I just think Muse and Doc Who should be left seperate. :)
