I wanted to get some info about Islam and this is the first source which consists of more than praises which are often conveyed pretty moronic. I Have Two Simple Logical Quation to the people How try to make a connection between beating womens and islam.

1) are there is no cases of beating womens in western societies ?

I've seen many non-Muslim females in shelter homes for females who are mentally and/or physically abused by their spouses and/or other family members.

I saw females there of different races and different cultures and different religions and non-religions.

It's not only in our communities, it happens everywhere and it is very tragic.

The brother tells it like it is. Women, in most religions are treated like second class. We know that in Islam, it is haram to treat women like second class. This is something that most Masjids need to teach on. Especially here in Canada!! American mosques do a better job at teaching that women should be treated well. I enjoy brother Quick because he is honest, and tells it like it is. Using Quran and Sunnah, not politics, or monarchies.

Dear Greycloud, sometimes I wonder too if perhaps there is no God, because there is so much darkness in the world. Sometimes I fall into hate and begin to lose hope. It seems the darkness is so big and I am so small. Like David and Goliath. Its hard to reject the dark forces of destruction, hate and inhumanity. Yes, Greycloud, I have studied world religion for many years. I believe in freedom to choose your own way to God or Great Spirit. What I have found by talking to people of other cultures and religions is that most people are feeling powerless to change the corrupt and destructive powers that be, and most of us are turning to God to save us. If you don't believe in God that is free choice also, still we should try to rise to our highest selves and evolve our humanity above violence and hate.

Well said, when a woman is educated and her o is valued she will return this 10 fold to her family and community. We belong in the Masjids,in the communities doing good and we need to be seen as Muslims.
