  • sounds really noisy

  • Hey, could I get the cost and perhaps the plans? Your design looks fantastic and I would love to try this out.

  • Purchase your own wind turbine kit or parts for your Sovereign independence. Don't be a slave to the electric companies. 1500 Watt all inclusive turbine kit for about $1,500. Go Soveriegn! We have everything from charge controllers to Inverters. visit Sovereign's Depot @ sovdepot.com

  • so how much power is this generating prepay on average? and how much do you think people would save after the initial installation? great idea...keep at it

  • extra maszyna

    podoba mi sie

  • Hi there just seen this I have a treadmill motor 4400rpm at 180v 1250 amps . How did you set up this tidy machine? I have got a push lawn mower for the vertical axis my query is how to set up the gear system and rod going up. How strong had the rod got to be and what length?

  • good job ... HEY raise that thing in the air to catch some good wind!!!!!!

  • if you rebuild, try going a little higher, also go with a bigger diffrence in your gearing

    keep up the good work

  • looks good

  • i can hear the wind but the thing doesn't spindle that fast

  • can you show how you connected the blades to the shaft, awesome windmill

  • Hi there, i have since sold this unit on, so can't provide any pics, but i welded six pieces of 25mm x 3mm flat bar to the centre round bar, and drilled/bolted the blades on.

  • looks great, but this blades create lots of break,if you curve blades it will create a less break and icrease rotating speed and give you more power

  • How about power?

  • looks great...excellent job!

  • Ok, 8-13V sounds good. Mine is still in the mV range :). It scales with the crosssection of the turbine.

  • what is your generator

  • Hi there, generator used is a treadmill motor, 260vdc @ 4800 rpm.

  • Looks nice and solid. Any wind speed measured?

  • I do not have any way of measuring windspeed. I measure voltage, which is normally about 8-13 vdc at this speed.
