This isn't a new ride. It's one of the very first rides that opened with universal. They just changed the name to make it "new". They really just need to come up with brand new better rides.

@brittandbaby - the original Earthquake ride was based on the 1974 film with absolutely no relevance for anyone under 40 who visited the park today. Now they could have ripped out the ride and replaced it with something new, but instead they chose to keep the legacy and refresh it whole new preshow, storyline and cast - far more than just 'changing the name' as you claim. I rode it several times earlier this year and thought it was clever, entertaining and fun. They did it well.

this ride for me depended on wat crowd i was with, like bak in Halloween Horror Nights i was with a tough crowd, and they all thought this ride was a fuking waste of time (i myself just copied them =P) but then i went on this again in Grad Bash and said to my friends that this ride sux but then we got on and had A BLAST..weird how the same ride feels different wen IT HASNT CHANGED AT ALL.. =/

Nothing in this ride was changed...same thing as Earthquake...just like you saw when you sit in the subway car. Silly. The ONLY thing they changed was when you first walk in, you used to go into a theater that you used to sit in (now you stand), and you'd watch a short clip from the movie EARTHQUAKE and be told about props, like fake rocks and such. Now, you get silly thing with the girl host who WAYYYYYYYYYY over-acts...stupidity at best...and then go in the sub car. LAME.

I don't recall the Earthquake ride having some audience members "act" for the trailer you see at the end of the ride. In other words, yeah, it had the original Earthquake ride but added the audience participation thing in there. But it was so long ago that I went on the original ride.

We went to this on the 3rd of june just gone. This was SO hilarious! We nearly wet ourselves laughing. The 'trailer' at the end is class! The participation is such fun on this ride!!!

If you get a chance go first thing in the morning. The building is up and running and the air is nice and cool. The "ride" is pretty much the same as Earthquake but the experience and pay off is so much more interactive. That's the major payoff. Go with a bunch of friends and participate!...I love every day I'm there.
