a) i don't have any cirque clips, and in any case i'm afraid of copyright violations (knock on wood)

b) i could have labeled this montage "pole dancing felix cane" or something similar, but "pole dancing" has a negative connotation. so i changed it to "cirque" to show that it's actually acrobatic and beautiful (not necessarily sleazy stripper), and to reach out to people who might not otherwise have watched this.

I find it funny how people forget - or simply are unaware - that *ballet* had negative connotations in its early days...

For me poledancing is just that - dancing on a pole, not much different from rope work or traipse. And Felix is arguably one of the best.

Yeah, I've been showing my friends clips of Felix and Pantera. Mind-blowingly artistic and graceful dancing that just doesn't get the respect it deserves.

It's probably better compared to Cirque stuff, or world class ballet and figure-skating. Only more heart-rending. It's so beautiful it's almost painful.
