  • call me crazy, but i hate the K5HLL, i much prefer the K5HL on the dc gevos as well as the dc gevos themselves.... they have a more agressive chug thats more thunderous and i liek that!

  • @railfankasey I'm not a fan of either, this model just happened to sound decent. My preference is the first generation K5LA on a GP40-2 former Chessie System engine.

  • @Engine201 i agree, but id prefer a leslie rs3l on a original 20 cyl. SD45 myself.

  • @railfankasey Yea the Leslie is a good horn too

  • great freakin horn dude!

  • @mutanay77 It sure is!

  • @Engine201 i like the k5hll. they sound tough.

  • I feel this is the only type of GEVO I like! Beside's the AC series'.

  • @CSXAC6000CWFAN This engine isn't too bad. Def a better horn than the K5HL's on the other GEVOS!

  • Awesome horn man!! :]

  • @BTCRAIL101FILMS Thanks, it sure was!

  • Another great catch!

  • @derrleicaguy Thanks a lot!

  • man....you were in my area! Cool!!

  • @illwill929 Sure was!

    Cutter

  • @comebersum Thanks man

  • 1 word

    sweet

  • @TheCprailfan1 Thanks!

  • Good catch and nice K5HLL

  • @CSX453 Thanks Jason

  • Lol these are es44ah because they are in the 900!...

  • That first engine looks really interesting! Don't recall if I've ever seen one on the Philly Sub-might check my vids and see. But even this one's putting out a tad bit of smoke-I guess this is as "green" as it gets!

  • @bullfrog1954 You can tell it's a newer engine because of the electric style bell on it. This was Q439, which means.........it came off the Philly Sub. lol And yes, this is as green as it gets!

  • Nice GEVO! Those sure are some neat engines

  • @metraF40PH163 Thanks, they do have a nice horn on them!

  • Ma that K5HLL sounds great. Nice catch and K5HLL Bobby

  • @UPDetector It sure does, thanks Ryan

  • I like the look of that. A great mix up

  • @mukkaspec Thanks, me too.

  • @mukkaspec I think the politically-correct term is "lash-up-" if you're referring to the engines.

  • @bullfrog1954 . No mate, i mean the mixture of wagons. Always nice to see mixed freight . As for the engines, we would call that double headed over here. If it's an thirty/fourty+ year old engine it's either bald headed or a Beast ! .

  • @mukkaspec Interesting differences in terminology here-and across the big pond! For example, what you refer to as "wagons (the consist)" we refer to as "rolling stock" or just simply "cars." I tend to favor the mixed freights too-more variety! The CSX Philadelphia Subdivision (or "Philly Sub-" Baltimore to Philadelphia) handles a lot of those. And, going by your definition of "bald headed" or "beast," there are still some running here! Thanx 4 responding!

  • it's funny how the ES40DCs are 10 times worse than the ES44ACs!

  • @chealy349 LOL, I like the GE engines, but I LOVE the EMD engines, lol

  • I like the AC units. They have the K5LLs and the high-board cabs. i'm not sure but I think they got these from a piggyback order with another railroad. CSX has never ordered GEs with western style (BNSF) cabs.

  • @MrConraal Yea I'm not sure, pretty cool looking though

  • SWEeT HORN!!! And BTW, the lead unit is an ES44AC, not DC. Anyway, thumbs up and a fav!

  • @lukasfols1 Yea that was a typo, thanks!
