call me crazy, but i hate the K5HLL, i much prefer the K5HL on the dc gevos as well as the dc gevos themselves.... they have a more agressive chug thats more thunderous and i liek that!
@railfankasey I'm not a fan of either, this model just happened to sound decent. My preference is the first generation K5LA on a GP40-2 former Chessie System engine.
That first engine looks really interesting! Don't recall if I've ever seen one on the Philly Sub-might check my vids and see. But even this one's putting out a tad bit of smoke-I guess this is as "green" as it gets!
@bullfrog1954 You can tell it's a newer engine because of the electric style bell on it. This was Q439, which means.........it came off the Philly Sub. lol And yes, this is as green as it gets!
@bullfrog1954 . No mate, i mean the mixture of wagons. Always nice to see mixed freight . As for the engines, we would call that double headed over here. If it's an thirty/fourty+ year old engine it's either bald headed or a Beast ! .
@mukkaspec Interesting differences in terminology here-and across the big pond! For example, what you refer to as "wagons (the consist)" we refer to as "rolling stock" or just simply "cars." I tend to favor the mixed freights too-more variety! The CSX Philadelphia Subdivision (or "Philly Sub-" Baltimore to Philadelphia) handles a lot of those. And, going by your definition of "bald headed" or "beast," there are still some running here! Thanx 4 responding!
I like the AC units. They have the K5LLs and the high-board cabs. i'm not sure but I think they got these from a piggyback order with another railroad. CSX has never ordered GEs with western style (BNSF) cabs.

@mukkaspec I think the politically-correct term is "lash-up-" if you're referring to the engines.
