The BT-100 sounds very fuzzy while it breaks up, you cal it distortion. Almost like a fuzz pedal. What about those speaker, did I hear him say that Hagström is manufacturing those presently..?
The modifications were done 'in-house' by Hagstrom (Probably Per Ollson). The Hagstrom amps were extremely clean - as the story tells. They were warm sounding despite being solid state though. Sadly Per is no longer around, so the secret of the mods probably lies with him? There may be info somewhere in Alvdalen, but it is difficult to get info these days.
Hello England - Lennie is here. I did the modification myself and informed Per Olsson.
It is simpel, just add an preamp on the input. Cause the amp give such a nice disto if you turn up full on all controls and have a strong gitar-signal-input- thats how I found out it.
The amp was not seriemade from the factory. I modified 5 amps and I still have the one you see in the movie.
Wow Lennie - great to hear from you. Hey folks - this is the hero that did this! Maybe you could do a few more conversions - then other old BT100 amps might become a big seller all of a sudden! Seasons Greetings to you and yours! Cheers from David and Chris
Hello FRIENDS - Season Greetings to all you music lovers from Umea in North Sweden.
It´s so funny to read all comments about my Hurdy-Gurdy-Chicken-in .....english.But now the BT-100 dist - try an external pre-amp with clean sound of any kind and plug it in a normal BT-100 - it works.I named the preamp control "HIGH COMPUTED SUSTAININ GENERATOR" - ha, ha. And my BT-100 has an extra after-preamp called:"EXTRA POWER DRIVER"- thats fun.The EXTRA P. D. is not nessesary to get the nice dist-sound.
Very educating. Ive been wondering if I should buy a marshall or a hagström amplifier, to my hagström speaker. I was not sure that the hagström amplifier would sound nice. But it sure sounded great! The price is the bad thing. Expencive!
yes it's Chris Cox from Golden Boulder - out for a holiday to Alvdalen in July 2006, age 12. After all, he started out playing his dad's Hagstrom guitars when he was 7. He's honoured to know the Hagstrom family and some good friends out in Sweden.
had no idea that Hagstrom even made amps! I have a new production model Haggi guitar (p200)and it was about the best 600$ Canadian i ever spent. would love to have a vintage one though...some of the best guitars ever made
Lennie's English is fantastic compared to my Swedish. Also with an audience most of them Swedish and a few English it must get confusing at times. However as a Swede yourself you are allowed to say that I suppose. He's also one of the friendliest and enthusiastic people I've met. You can see him in the 1977 Patch 2000 demo too... All power to Lennie!

What modes where done on the amplifier?
I have seen one used and have consider buying it.
But is the BT100 a descent amplifier without the modes, and how much and where could this be done.

Believe me you can still get an original for about that money if you look around, and the key difference is it will go UP in value. Happy Strumming!
