  • how is the exhuast port set up on this block...like how does it get the exhuast gasses out of the port if the valve is on the intake side...not a ford guy but am very cerous of how the port desine is set up

  • @mudpuppy4life

The exhaust port runs through the block to the outside, you can see the three ports on the side of the block.

  • @mctim64 unique...thanks for the info

  • @mudpuppy4life

Also you can see the exhaust manifold attached to the side in this video.

  • He's done that before! LOL

  • hey i have a 54 ford with a flathead and i have two spare flatheads sitting around by the car AND i have a 48 grain truck about 4 feet away form the 54 thats got a flat head in it so i may have a couple of parties for my 54 project

  • @54fordledsled ... Are you sure it's a '54 and not a '53? In '54 Ford came out with an overhead valve V-8, if I'm not mistaken.

  • wish i could pull a engine apart that fast.

  • is it a kind of hemi?

  • Yeah 239 cubic inch Side valve Ford Hemi.

  • Great video & tune!

  • Neat video. What was that gadget you were using prior to pulling the valve assemblies out?

  • I'm not sure what "gadget" you want to know about but there is one tool for pulling the guide clips and one tool, a slide hammer, for poping the guides out.

  • The tool used for pulling the guide keepers is an "All-Power" Ford valve keeper extractor. The other tool is an "All-Power" Ford valve guide knocker, that has been modified with a slide hammer. The "All-Power" tools were made in L.A., Ca. I have and use both of these tools along with a KD-918 valve guide puller.

  • Wow! Nice one mate!

'52 Ford Flathead greetings from Holland!

  • Complete awesome- you make that look easy

  • Wha a rats nest was under the intake that beats all the weird things I've found inside an engine while taring it down.

  • Awesome

  • This isn't your first rodeo is it big boy?
