This song is going to be called Super Magic on The Ecstatic, which, by the way, SHOULD drop on June 9th. But it's been delayed so much, that I have no clue as to the real date. But all these delays make me want this album even more!
Mos Def has a song called "Oh No" with Pharoah Monch, but this is the beat from "Heavy" by Oh No (sampled from Selda Bagcan), There's a band called The Heavy who released the track "Oh No" which is a whole other song. Let's see google try to sort this one out. He he he.
if you listen to the original song this sounds like nothing more then an instumental of the song. I listened to the beat a 100 times and I cant tell one thing they added. it was a straight up jack trust me.
Well, Oh Nos entire album (he produces music, this beat was from the album) aimed to get many songs that are psychedelic rock from the middle east. So its not as if he claims that the songs are his or anything, we KNOW that he sampled music. Thats what he DOES.
First of all Madlib sampled Selda and made the beat. He sampled it he didnt steal it, yes all he added was the guitaer and a few other minor things as well as remove the original singing, but he didnt steal it. Mos Def is using Madlib beat which he did not steal!
What a friend through Music. I just relate. That is all.

The beat is made by madlib and downtown records is producing his album and Mos Def is signed to them at least for now.
