These "Mindless Sheep" have been conditioned into believing all that the watchtower society deems as "TRUTH." Blind obedience or you are shunned, which is far worse than an islamic honor killing. When you are disfeffowshipped, you are cast out from "jehova's protection" and his other mindless lambs. Your family turns their backs on you as if you are dead. My parents and some siblings are dead. I never went to their funerals, not because I was not welcome, but because I moved on.
im 16 and this video has just encouraged me to be much more involved in my congregation, much apreciated...hope you all cahnge you minds and join me in the paradise
Many JW's hide in the dark of not wanting to know the true history of the organization. This is an intellectual dishonesty. Do you know about Charles Taze Russell's " bible in stone" the Great Pyramid of GAZA? Or the 1928 return of the prophets and the house the JW's built for them?
The BIBLE (God's inspired word) is what says that Jesus is in a second position. "The head of woman is man the head of man is Christ the head of Christ is(you guessed) [Jehovah] God.
I applaud all who leave the organization. Now be as critical of the Bible and your god as you are of the organization you left. Look at it all objectively with common sense and reason, if you still believe, good for you, if you don't good for you - but just do it. Question everything!
Whoever listens to this doesn't have a clue. There are seven million Witnesses who are very happy. Jehovah God calls on all who have the right heart condition. If there are any Witnesses who are sad they are sad for all who put there trust in money instead of the True God Jehovah
@whaditizzz Reading this comment its not actually true. I know a few and one in particular is so afraid of loosing her beauty that she has turned to the new world of the JWs to make sure she will be eternally pretty...
AN ACTIVE JW!!!! How dare u speak like that i no few people on anti deppressants and u need to leave ur hall u are an apostate who speack evil Angaist the name OF GOD
My entire family are JWs; theyre all (five total) on anti-depression medication, which they initially received from a JW doctor!
I went against the societys instructions and got a science education (see minute 2:00). I live a happy life, learning how the universe really works. The truth is far more interesting than myth.
Saddest of all, they are creating (a) generation(s) of uneducated/ignorant people, believing in silly stories such as flood, Jonah, creation, etc. It's sad to watch.
So all who believe in the bible(not just Jehovah's Wintesses are..ignorant people, I guess because chrisendom believes those storys(or atleast they are supposed to)
Very true about JWs and depression and medication. As one of the young people who has 'seen the religion for what it is' I especially appreciated the comment about how JWs whose children leave the organization can become depressed. How about some suggestions for sons and daughters in this positon?
Hold your head up! Count on your personal relationship with God! J.W. lead a very busy life as I have seen a friend with too much responsibility, work, home, & religion. How does one have a personal relationship with God & see what God wants him to know if one is so over-filled with responsibility. If a J.W. cannot answer certain questions where the answers are obvious to others, then the J.W. is consumed obeying directives by the W.T. & not having time to meditate meaningfully/peacefully.
Depression takes place when there is not enough time to meditate long enough. The reason you are kept so busy is to get as many people to join J.W. as possible. You are told that it is urgent so that you don't waste too much time to think nor question. That's an old trick! How can one understand that of which he has not much time to absorb by meditating on what he is fed spiritually. He just parrots (imitates/imitators of W.T.) what he is told. God's love does not depress. Man depresses.
mtown: Is 1:18, may be of some comfort, where God wants to reason together with you, see there is no step between Christ and you, its a personal relation, there is no other mediator. It is true that we may become depressed, it is no sin, but Jesus is the one that will give you healing, if you throw your burdens upon Him, give yourself to Him a full surrender, follow Him wherever He goes, not where someone else tells you to go. Humans are as fleeting water.. not to be trusted. God endures forever
I was born in the early 60's & raised a JW. It took me over forty years to wake up to the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses are nothing more then a group of people being blindly lead by men who represent their father the devil!
I have many of the books from the 1920 & 30s published by the WTBTS. The Jehovahs Witlesses say these teaching are old light & they want only the new light. A lie is a lie & all of these books are packed with lies. Who is the father of the lie?
BR: I am glad that you managed to break free, the web that the enemy of life is spinning, is by far difficult to break free from. In Christ we have Truth, and only there. It is strange to think of, that we didnt read as much that Jesus Christ is the Life, theTruth and the Way, when JW did not think much of Christ at all, but always gave Him a degrading position... its sad, but I rejoice for you and all that break free from all the deception.. for it is plenty to be found everywhere. Rejoice!
folks, just a comment on antidepressants - they are a highly experimental and psychoactive set of drugs, and I would suggest seeking any alternatives to them first. There is s difference between suicidal depression and what I call "smart person's depression" - what every compassionate human eventually feels. Beware of the pharmacutical companies, they are not your friend.
QuietGal: You are spot on in this, big pharma is out to get us eventually, to keep us sick so they can keep on making money, they do not care about anyone or anything but wealth. True healing is in our Maker, Christ Jesus our Redeemer, in Him we find all we need, and the advices on how to lead our lives is found in the written Word, the Bible. Physical exersize is also recomended, I have been depressed for all my life, but thanks to the prescribed in the Bible and in Christ, Im healing! :)
Red: We should accept all of Gods creation as worthy our respect and love. We should treat them as they deserve, with loving kindness and understanding, be it they are sinners, as much as the rest of us. We as humans do not define what sin is, but as the Bible states, sin is the transgression of the law. We are also sinners by nature and only in Christ can we be set free. Homosexuality is a sin on equal with fornication and lieing and stealing. Romans 1 I believe it is, talks of this more.
So what are you all depressed JW's going do, Crawl under a rock and hope that god understands that you left your faith, put on the shoulders of someone else that didn't have some terrible tragedy happen in their life? No one said that life was going to be easy. You have a chance at being the best you can be, For You! Not compared to others in your faith. Each one will carry his own load? Isn't that how it goes? Maybe all of us in some way need to be on Prosac today, life in this world is crummy!
Nibble: Praise God for Christ, whoom we can lay all our burdens on, in whoom we have security and freedom of thought, freedom to think and breath in Him. If you need medication, then yes take it, but know that God has provided for us, all our needs, spiritual, mental and physical, all we need do is to trust Him and His promises. Cast off all bonds that seek to prevent you from approaching God with an open mind and heart, surrender to Him and our troubles will fade, for He gives us strength!

This is such falsehood! Whenever people read between the lines nothing good comes of it. I dont know who or how you came up with "our future seems bleak" from a paragraph about trusting God to get you through tough times. What a crock, & Im not even a Jehovahs Witness! Its true that the writers make articles to address current issues with the organization, such as the last few topics mentioned in this video, but how is that a negative thing? Its not a subconscious message, its a useful article!
Gladitsnotme, NOT a Witness, contradicts the 7 experiences of JWs (including myself) before. The internal issues that JWs face are indicative that "spiritual paradise" is not all that common among Witnesses.
This is an excellent video and every word is true. I was a witness for 21 years and was regularly on anti depressants to enable me to cope with the guilt and pressure put upon me and my family. I know for a fact there were at least 6 others in my congregation on anti depressants and probably many more I didn't know about. One young sister I knew bacame an alcoholic due to loneliness and not being able to find a mate in the "truth". She drank herself to death, aged 33.
So True! I Can personally Say that my depression was due to Feelings of never "Doing Enough" for Jehovah. The WT has painted a God that is never pleased and always wants More - I always felt that no matter how much I did, I would still be Destroyed in the Soon to come Armageddon. Yes I have seen many just fade away!! I must say that I have not left Yet, because of My family, but Im also Slowly Leaving - I have Finally stopped taking PAXIL and working towards recovery. It's Time To Move On!!
Hello mivida,I got the feeling too in 2004,enough was never enough I told the elder when he was concerned about my meeting attendance, I was baptized in 1974, so I got off the merry go round, I hope things are better for you now...in Christ
i was depressed often as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. when i was disfellowshipped...after first being abandoned by them...i spent 7 years in a spiritual sickbed of hopelessness.
thanks for all your insightful videos.
i noticed you have said on your homepage that you don't mind us copying and distributing your videos. thanks for being so generous with your information and work.
I love this video. SO incredibly true. The 27 years I had spent as a Jehovah's Witness left me with the deepest of depressions. This has completely lifted since leaving them. If only the people I loved within that organisation could see how devastating a cult it is.
hello goodboy, I hope things are better and you havent lost your faith or spirituality, they will try and make you think because you've left he WTS, you've left Jehovah...not so.
