It's interesting how so much changes in terms of how we view our politicians in just three years. Considering how bad the Republican field is, I wonder if Obama will be able to be successful again in 2012, or if will go down in defeat and become a one termer. Moreover, while we already know that he will be remembered the same as Carter and Bush Sr. if he loses, could he still be seen as another JFK or Reagan in retrospect if he leaves office as a two term president?
Well, I agree with you on what you said about Ron Paul, too bad he didn't get it. At this time not even the Democrats want to be associated with Obama so I guess you didn't predict that one so well. I do appreciate your very well made vid even if I think your wrong.
I can't wait till the Obama people realize he is what they thought he was. I think he will be another Carter not a Democratic Reagan. I can't wait, however they won't admit that they were fooled but we will know.
Amen to that. I'd be extremely surprised if he doesn't lose in a landslide at the rate he's going. The good news is his approval rating has already slid to 58% though. Hopefully people won't take three years to wake up more.
I say Obama will be more like America's Gorbachev. Mikhail Gorbachev tried to save the Soviet Union but grossly underestimated the damage Leonid Brezhnev did to it: massive unrepayable debt and massive spending on various follies such as war in Afghanistan. I think maybe Barack Obama is underestimating the similar damage George Bush is doing to the United States.
My parents were die-hard, southern, Republicans and I've voted Rep must of my life. BUT after 8 years of a Pres who spent money like he was running the printing presses himself, did little to stop the pourous borders and threw civil rights and the constitution "under the bus" I voted for Obama. I knew McCain would be 4 more years of the same policies.
And what makes you think that Barack Obama is going to do anything about illegal immigration? He has spoken before the National Council of La Raza, and is going to give ALL of them citizenship. I call it "citizenshit."
Neither are the republicans, they had control in both house and senate, they did nothing, absolutely nothing. Voting on a single issue basis, or voting on a "value" issue (suitcase issue (both are really)) makes you into a stupid lemming. The only thing that even remotely resembles REAL conservative ideals of the past in action are libertarians or the independents, repubs & dems are for people who are team cheerleaders and don't want to admit neither stands for a damn thing in reality.
"My parents were die-hard, southern, Republicans and I've voted Rep must of my life. BUT after 8 years of a Pres who spent money like he was running the printing presses himself, did little to stop the pourous borders and threw civil rights and the constitution "under the bus" I voted for Obama. Considering all of that, it is easy to understand why you didn't vote for John McCain. Why Obama instead of Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin though?
Reagan could not do what he wanted because he had a Democratic controled congress and a hostile news media that claimed he would through old ladies in the streets. In fact, when he was running for the 1st term they gave him what I call the "Buchanan Treatment".
Obama has congressional and media support to do what he wants for at least the 1st 2 years.
Obama will spend more and WILL continue the war expand it and start a draft
(civil service). Obama supporters may be in for a suprise.
SA, I usually agree with you but Clinton and Bush I were substantially different with regard to finances. But then again, Clinton had a fiscally conservative Congress flogging him for a good 4 years.
Good points, SA. I hate Obama and hope that "conservatives" will use everything in their arsenal to fight his totalitarian Marxist rhetoric.
My mother once said that she thought that things are much better when we have a Republican Congress and a Democrat in the White House. (I don't know why.) Maybe we can see in 2010.
This man, Obama, that you, Southern Avenger, praise so much is happy to have pourous borders. He may end the war in Iraq, but he's certainly not going to defend the borders. Illegals from South of the border to him are future Democrat votes. Might want to think a bit more and do some soul searching before you praise Obama any further.
I'm sorry, but you need to watch a couple more of SA's videos. SA does not like Barack, he is not really praising him, he gives credit where credit is due. You think Barack is bad on the borders? What about McCain that supported amnesty for millions of illegals? SA would prefer an actual conservative president. Unfortunately that wasn't going to happen.
I can't believe how soft you are going on this guy. What about all the other things that matter? Like abortion, wellfare, unions, and the 2nd amendment, issues which 0bama is about as far left as one gets. At least I could count on mccain to somewhat protect american values, whereas Obama is going to enjoy stomping on religious conservatives to make way for pot-smoking hippies and jigaboo hood rats. YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET THIS VIDEO IN A YEAR OR TWO, YOU WATCH!!!
Jack you hit the nail right on the head. Reagan if any was an old fashion Democrat preaching conservative values but ultimately it was his personality that made him an icon.
As for people who dare not taint Reagans name, they had one too many mainstream's Kool-Aid. If you pay close attation, Farce News is already talking about "modernizing" the Republican Party. That center to the right policies are no longer working. The hell are these fools talking about?
The difference is on the issue of abortion, specifically as it relates to Supreme Court appointments. I believe that Justice Stevens will go out sometime during the next four years, and Obama will likely choose a pro-choice judge to fill the empty seat. For all McCain's faults, I believe Americans would have had a greater chance at seeing a pro-life successor to Stevens tip the scales.
Ok Southern Avenger. The NeoCon-Liberal McCain has lost. You can stop singing Obama's praises now. And start dreading how this "lesser evil" is going to screw up the country.
I would've gone with Ron Paul. Sure there are some things I don't agree with him on, but for the most part he is the only one who tells it like it is.
Regan never the race card, nor a republican majority in congress, nor the media as his own personal cheerleaders. Obama will have all this and an almost veto-proof majority at that. The next 4 years will be interesting. My hope is that people get sick of big government in general, regardless of which party is taking their money and freedoms.
I completely, the Democrats have definetely found their Reagan in Barack Obama. It's fascinating though when you think about how both ran on the message of hope and change yet they're both from drastically different ends of the political spectrum.
Sorry those 38,000 is in the first 8 to 10 months after his inauguration. More will most likely have the same fate though. I am already one of them. For me it's not Obama's doing, but I am going back to Afghanistan in March '09.
McCain, and Obama both suck. Obama is going to pull near 38,000 troops home from Iraq, and let them take a breather. Then they are going back to the war he is not against, Afghanistan. He also seems ready willing and able to follow Clintons footsteps when dealing with Pakistan. Little airstrike here, sanctions there. We all know where that got us when Bill did the same with Iraq. McCain would have changed even less than that. AHH, when are we going to get rid of these Neo-Con warmongers?!
obama has nothing. no aura.. nothing. he is a media creation ... a manchurian president. all these clowns work for the CFR... look at obama's appointments, Rahm and Ross. these guys are our worst nightmares. the sheeple are easy to control, they are zombies.

There are special provisions for children of military or civil service employees stationed over seas under various SOFA agreements and in special areas such as the Canal Zone. This, however, does not apply to people born of one American parent and a foreign national living over seas under no official authority of the US government. McCain: eligible. George Romney: ineligible. Obama: Let's see his documentation.

I defend not the actions of Bush/Cheney. I agree with you on this point wholeheartedly. As for how the rest of the world reacts is irrelevant. I have worked for the US government for nearly thirty years. You have far too much confidence in it than is demonstrably warranted.
