This is Jimmy singing.. I've been a fan of his since 1967, I'd recognize his voice anywhere.. it's slightly rough sounding, but he know how to use it. He claimed to be just a bit shy, but he can master anything. That's way he got Robert to sing.
@gudatine Sorry, it's absolutely not Jimmy. It's John Miles. If the video of the song was on here you'd see another guy singing, with Page bouncing around with the guitar.
@herbal1971 Thank you for your comment .. do you have or know where I can see that video.. I'm not disagreeing with you... I'm glad you told me.. but I did hear Jimmy sing and his voice does have a wee bit of roughness .. and another when he was even younger where his voice was smoother.. If you know of any other songs that Jimmy sings online... please let me know.. thanks.
Kind of a funny story--I went to the store tonight & in my cassette player (old car) was this album. I didn't remember putting it in or know who it was, and this awesome blues rock had me jamming along & head bobbing, digging this totally. So I get to the store & pop the tape out to see who the hell it was. I didn't know he sang so well. That tapes been wasting away for at least 10 years, missing out on this awesome music that somehow ended up in my tape player tonight. :-)
@capricious71 I found out after commenting that apparently Page does not sing at all? I wonder why, his voice is not bad. Thanks for telling me who it is singing. The tape said Jimmy Page, so I assumed it was him singing, lead singer's usually get their name in lights, lol.
@doublek321, you obviously haven't read Fargo Rock City by Klosterman, or you would very much know he's not kidding. (This being said, I'm a lifelong Zeppelin fan, and yeah, I personally do not believe this song is underrated)
I think (hope) this is an example of Klosterman being like (as he refers to in the article) a member of the music industry from the 1990s who"always said the opposite of what they actually meant" because this song is pretty much trash (and I'm a huge Zeppelin/Page fan). It reminds me of how disappointed I was in that Coverdale/Page album after getting my hopes raised when "Pride and Joy" was released in 1983. I think by the end of Zeppelin Page was just out of musical ideas.
Page so much for rock. He took Blues and incorporated it into harder rock, and pleased the present, but changed the future like no other! Well, almost. But the rest were influenced for sure!!!...
I love this tune. Great fucking album, so under-rated. I would have liked to see Page put this one on the Coverdale/Page album. Just imagine Coverdale singing this, DAMN!
@nonesta13 he did, actually, some backing vocals for zeppelin and of course his own single, "she just satisfies" from the 60ies. a really good tune =)

@gmj2012 Nice story. I should add, though that this isn't Jimmy Page singing (if I understand you correctly). It's John Miles.

@gmj2012 You're welcome. I don't know what happened to John Miles. He's got quite a good voice.

It'd be cool if Robert Plant sang this. Probably the sort of song Zep could have done if Bonzo was still with them.

Use a bit of logics: If That had been Jimmy singing - there wouldn't be Robert Plant.
