  • ultranice one!

  • you sock at that looser

  • nice but my friend are better but your also kinda good

  • Dude shut the hell up. We couldn't care less.

  • Bloody marvelous!!!! got a new matrix to learn now!!!

  • Well, I love the name "Matrix", it's pretty funny. Baton couldn't call it that because the relatively lightweight stick compared to the staff makes you have to move a lot faster so the "Matrix" reference would be lost.

  • Twirlers actually already do something similar, called a "Figure 8," which is done to the back instead of the front.

  • Cool! I do one of those (badly!) in the "matrix tomfoolery" video I posted. I'll have to film the trickiest variation I know where you of combine both of the 'harder' sections of these rolls.

What's the hardest roll in baton?

  • That evolves every year, seeing as how someone always makes up something new every year. Plus, it's not always what you do, but how you do it that makes it great.

  • Interesting, I'd love to know more about baton but anything other than the most basic information is pretty thin on the ground. Judging from what I'd seen the routines and selection of moves seem pretty formulaic even in the 'freestyles', only the very best seem even slightly innovative. I'd assumed there were restrictions on what was allowed (or what had to be included).

  • There aren't really any restrictions, per say. There are just "stock" tricks/moves that everyone learns, and thus are easier to judge. Like in any other sport, it's always more difficult to put a creative spin on something old and make it new.

  • Reverse front Monster Roll

  • Nice one! It's good motivation trying to come up with something "new" or at least something baton twirlers haven't. I'm sure I'll get there one day...

  • scary....
