Perry Hill farm where they were moving was farmed by my 4th Great Grandfather, Abraham Spencer (1751 - 1839) and his wife Fanny (Leney). I'm not sure if they "owned" the farm, or if his predecessors or descendants farmed it. Today the farm is a large Nursery in lovely, quiet countryside.

I don't know how often these farm relocations occurred, but I do know there was one from Tetbury to Scotland in around 1961.
