Yes...you are right about the stability. Some kind of backing is a must..Thanks for the comment. And as for the leg space, I was not able to remove the wood below the monitor area due to my 3ds MAX illiteracy... that portion is not supposed to be there! :D

biggest issue id have is with the shelves, which when burdened down with weight would probably sag or collapse..the middle ones that is, since they have no real support for them at the exposed ends. looks great though..err leg room is an issue too

It wasn't a complete waste though. My Grandmother now has the best workstation in town- complete with 30" LCD.
If you havnt built your ergo desk yet you should. you have no idea what youre missing out on.

i actually made something like this 2 years ago with my carpenter friend. I miss it very much since i have moved to portugal and was not able to bring it with me. I had my water cooled PC built into it and you could look into the window and see down into it. I am a graphic designer so i also had a wacom 12x12 set flush into the top along with a finger print reader for security. Its the one item i think of having sent to me from USA.
