Elphie's relationship with Fiyero is so beautiful. Yes, it was an affair, but for both of them to be in love for the first time is so touching. They risked their lives to see eachother. This book, this musical, is one of the best plot lines out there. I can't put it down.
gotta love ephie...even when she turns into the WW of the W (*WW of the W*= wicked witch of the west) and personally, i like the wicth elphie as much, if not more than, normal(what would you call normal@__________@) elphie.

I think Wicked and Wizard of Oz kind of goes hand in hand in a way. It shows how they got to be the evil/good person they are in the movie, like showing how loss and pain effects what you turn into ^^

The protagonist is more interesting
The characters do actually have personalities
There are more complications
The songs are more meaningful and catchy
Also, it's really easy to like Elphaba compared to Dorothy. Maybe it's because Elphaba is misunderstood or easy to sympathize with, but she's also strong-minded, fiery, smart, and kind.

In the book version of "Wicked" Elphaba was starting a resistance. Fieryo is killed in a surprise attack for being her lover. So, seeing as he lives in the end of the play, I like the play better :)
@courtneyluvsglee SPOILER - Lots of guards come and try to get Elphaba, but Fiyero protects her and fights the guards off, but he gets taken by the guards in the process. Elphaba knows that they'll hurt him to get information and for helping her, so she turns him into a scarecrow to prevent him feeling any pain when they hurt him/beat him. So, she did it because she loved him and didn;t want him to feel any pain because of her. Hope this helps :)

SPOILER - I've seen the musical done professionally and she did turn him into the scarecrow. It's part of the spell. "Let his bones never break, Let his blood leave no stain." By the way SHe turned her sister's love interest into the Tin Man and a lion cub into the Cowardly Lion.
@prepilitsa That Lion didn't have to turn into a coward. She simply saved him so he could learn to speak, because caged animals will never learn to speak.
@EnviedCure776 Because Nessa (her sister) got angry with Boq (her love interest) and said a spell to make his heart disappear. She succeeded and then begged Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) to reverse the spell, but she couldn't, so she turned him into the Tin Man so he wouldn't need his heart anymore. Hope that helps.
I thought it was because Nessa - her sister - pretty much said "If I can"t have him no one can!" So sh took his heart away so he could no longer love anyone.
@prepilitsa acutally in the book Wicked the little cub is an animal who can talk but was taken away from his mother when he was young therefore when he was older he became the cowardly lion other than that your knowledge is impressive

@FF7RLZ actualy, nessa was angry that boq didn't want to stay with her and that he wanted to go with Glinda so she took Elphie's spell book to make sure that no other woman could have his heart and it wound up removing his heart completely and so to save his life Elphie had to cast a new spell so that he would be able to live without having a heart so then he would not die from Nessa's mistake, that is why he is the tin man and that is why he has no heart.
@gussiegander Nessa is her sister (she's also the WIcked Witch of the East) who was killled by Dorothy. Doctor Dillamond was her teacher at her college, but because he was a Goat, he was arrested for teaching. Fiyero is the love of her life, who was arrested for being with her. She blames herself for all of their deaths or disappearances.

Okay..Soo me and my best friend were listening to the announcements at the beginging of class one day and our teacher was saying "No good deed..." and then waited for an answer and without thinking I blurted out "GOES UNPUNISHED!!!" ....sooo yea, I got laughed at but my friends (whom I listen to these song everyday with) thought it was pretty cool....Hehehe but now that I think about it, it was pretty funny.

oh my god, i have to see this play somehow now, i've always wanted to see this play but never got a chance to or even heard a song from it other then popular, but eveyone told me that if i just heard one song hear no good deed, this is the first time i heard it and i do not regret it, if the rest of the play is anything like this i'll be adding this in my top three favroit playsxD

SPOILER - I've seen the musical done professionally and she did turn him into the scarecrow. It's part of the spell. "Let his bones never break, Let his blood leave no stain." By the way SHe turned her sister's love interest into the Tin Man and a lion cub into the Cowardly Lion.

@EnviedCure776 Because Nessa (her sister) got angry with Boq (her love interest) and said a spell to make his heart disappear. She succeeded and then begged Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) to reverse the spell, but she couldn't, so she turned him into the Tin Man so he wouldn't need his heart anymore. Hope that helps.

I thought it was because Nessa - her sister - pretty much said "If I can"t have him no one can!" So sh took his heart away so he could no longer love anyone.

@prepilitsa acutally in the book Wicked the little cub is an animal who can talk but was taken away from his mother when he was young therefore when he was older he became the cowardly lion other than that your knowledge is impressive

@FF7RLZ actualy, nessa was angry that boq didn't want to stay with her and that he wanted to go with Glinda so she took Elphie's spell book to make sure that no other woman could have his heart and it wound up removing his heart completely and so to save his life Elphie had to cast a new spell so that he would be able to live without having a heart so then he would not die from Nessa's mistake, that is why he is the tin man and that is why he has no heart.

@gussiegander Nessa is her sister (she's also the WIcked Witch of the East) who was killled by Dorothy. Doctor Dillamond was her teacher at her college, but because he was a Goat, he was arrested for teaching. Fiyero is the love of her life, who was arrested for being with her. She blames herself for all of their deaths or disappearances.

i can relate to this song....i promised myself no more good deeds because something always goes wrong when i do a good deed i'm now known by the people who have seen The Wizard of Oz at all they call me the wicked witch of the west.i just sit in my room all day unless to eat and etc and only to go to school and etc. in the school year..

Okay..Soo me and my best friend were listening to the announcements at the beginging of class one day and our teacher was saying "No good deed..." and then waited for an answer and without thinking I blurted out "GOES UNPUNISHED!!!" ....sooo yea, I got laughed at but my friends (whom I listen to these song everyday with) thought it was pretty cool....Hehehe but now that I think about it, it was pretty funny.
