@coconuticecream22 I do not mean to sound like a Fanboy for the server, but Coconut is indeed correct. I recently wanted to go into a more pure T2A type of server, and Hybrid has it for the most part loot/balance wise. Just make sure you have Razor as well for macros to give you an edge in PvE/PvP.

I can't believe people would rather play some of the MMOs out there today than UO. yeah the graphics are less than stunning, but the gameplay is soo much better than any game.
I look back at the 4 years I spent with UO and I love it because I had so many good times, but I also hate the nostalgia because we'll never see another MMO like it.
Perhaps linear isn't the word, but modern MMOs certainly don't offer the level of freedom UO did.

Altho this era was hated my many oldschools I really liked it. Money was hard to come by, selling random crap at brit bank was fun (I was an ostardtamer;)), there was no "bonded" things on pets so there was always demand.
Brit smith was crowded with GM smiths to sell and repair stuff, every customer had to queue up first and wait for his turn... It was great.
I played in 97-99 as well. It just seemed so pure, I remember this theme was my favorite, I was like 12 or 14 and I remember saying, this is my chars homeland lol. Yeah nerdy. I wanted a house there bad but all the space was taken up.
I play WoW now and I must say, as great of a game that Wow is, it will never touch the simple magic that this game had. It's the true meaning of MMO and it will live in our hearts forever. Long live pre-trammel !!
Yah i agree, for a while trammel was alright bu7t it just got annoying and then came the ridiculous stats over skills gimmick and that killed it, but i will always remember the magic of real uo it we down right beautiful, if for one reason i ever even attempted math in school ( i was 9 at the time) it was to become a programmer/gm for origin.
Same here. Im from the 1997-1999 era. Ive tried the game a few time since then but its just not the same. Back then it was amazing, addicting, and adrenaline pumping.
I miss old ultima ; ( Still my favorite MMO I ever played. Experiencing this game as a child was totally liberating.

I wasn't lucky enough to play pre-Trammel, but I did get a taste of Lord Blackthorn's Revenge a year or so before they ruined UO with Age of Shadows.

I played when trammel first came to be.

I remember the GM queues with Lord Ulysses, Lord Lien Ragus and other insanely rich, dedicated crafters offering free repairs. It was fun :(
