  • I am from serbia.I born 1996.I train wing chun but I go for scotland,Glasgow 2015 Train jeet kune do.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • hmm a vid from over 6 years ago, with a song from like 1997 :)

  • whats the music?

  • This video was so awesome it actually made me like lim bizkit for a minute.

  • guy's great

  • i think jkd was really about anticipation and timing, bruce lee most likeley just had nice kicks so he used them.

  • You Not is Bruce lee /

    Nao tende imitar o meste

  • i got to admit, he is fit.

but most of those little clips were ethier a stunt or a demonstration.

i would like to see jeet kune do in real action

  • He is really good, I would like to see him fighting against MMA fighters. Seriously!

  • i cant even see wtf hes doin, luks like an ass load of feints LOL

  • Tommy Carruthers is God

  • @WarriorBruceLee nah just scottish

  • o cara e muito rápido e luta muito bem.

  • thats how chuck norris fights

  • Fake and gay.

  • nice video

  • Comment removed

  • this guy is a pussy, and yes i would say it to his face

  • i am better..

  • i was always taught the signature of jeet kune were the elegant, fast paced, graceful and powerful kicks. not the excessive punching and pushing i see this guy doing. still great martial arts, but i miss bruce lee's buoyancy.

  • @lostkeychain - The signature of jeet kune is the philosophy that you are allowed and encouraged to alter it to your own needs, style or goal. It is not a fixed system.

  • @lostkeychain jeet kune do is not escusively jeet kune do

  • @3481m Indeed. Jeet Kune Do is an accumulation and process of personal mastery.

  • @lostkeychain Given he adds a little more street fighting to Jeet Kune Do, just remember 2 things: in the movies they had to make Bruce slow down significantly because the stuntman wouldn't know how to react, and 2nd Bruce use to street fight ^_^ I'm sure he is proud

  • @lostkeychain i keep hearing that bruce lee made jeet kune do to discard what was not useful and put in your own flavor to the martial art. graceful movements are unnecessary

  • @MrHo16 ok. i guess that's how most people justify looking like dorks when they fight.

  • @lostkeychain um no bruce lee made the martial art. He said no theres no use for graceful movement, it only hinders the fighter

  • asldfkjadshif;asoidflasjdf

  • @lostkeychain agreed, this guy is far from graceful hahaha

  • Where do this guy teach, cause I want to learn this right away!

  • Bruce Lee's "no style - style" is called Jeet Kune Do and it was the first mixed martial art - it has been adopted, added a ground game (jiu jitsu and wrestling element) and monetized. Bruce Lee was the first mixed martial artist.

  • @storiale the ground game was already added. judo and jiu jitsu was in their, read tao of jeet kune do

  • @Soukyfi Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. You are correct sir!! Bruce and Mr. Inosanto were already exploring the use of muay thai techniques, grappling (judo and jiu jitsu) about the time Lee passed. Bruce studied with the great Gene Lebell (A Judo & Wrestling badass).

  • can see some wing chun style there.

  • The only man who's closest to Bruce Lee these days.

  • His skills look great. Too bad the customer service on his webstore sucks ass.

  • WTH! bruce lee lives!

  • @rasvy123 of course Bruce Lee lives.. he killed Chuck Norris in The Way Of The Dragon then skinned him, and has been living in Chuck's skin even to this day. :)

  • dude i love how fast you are

just as fast as i am :)

i love it when people think you only did 3 punches when you actually did 8 lol :)

  • do not fuck with this man

  • how old tommy is now ?

  • bruce would turn in his grave this guy is a copy cat,,...

  • @juijitsuchoke go fuck yourself , u are a copy cat ^^

  • put him in the cage...

  • @tanodzh why? so we can see how styles would fight if confined to rules? pshhh im tired of this "put him in the cage" bullshit. instead it should be "put him in the streets, with different variables"

  • @jeetkunedo117 According to this interview: v=ygpeB1sfzW4. What is JKD? A style? Bruce Lee said "Don't have style!". I also see a lot of fancy movements in this guy's demos...

  • @tanodzh yes he said that, but one of the more important philosophies of JKD is that regardless of what it is, if it works for you then keep it. so fancy or not, if it works, then who cares? hell if 540s and 720s worked for me in a fight youd see one hell of a fight...

  • @jeetkunedo117 Okay, I agree it works. I just wanted to say I see more fancy than effective movements. That's all. But as it is a demo it is understandable more or less. And... I like wrestling more that karate or similar fighting techniques. Just my opinion. :) Cheers!

  • @tanodzh yeah i hear ya, and hey everyone likes what they like. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @tanodzh its no SET stye. meaning you dont do the same counters or attacks for the same opposite. What Bruce means is to always be improvising and adapting to the situation and use what is most effective. Bruce was not a fan of showing fancy moves. Sure this guy had fancy moves but hey he was showing off for a video, not fighting to save his life

  • To those who don't know, practictioners of JKD get their power from a different muscle combination other than those used by boxing or traditional martial arts. There is no comparison to a properly thrown JKD punch because no matter how huge you can make you arms, it still can't compare to the power you can get from the rotation of your body. I was a traditional martial artist and gave it up because JKD tripled my punching power without adding any more muscle.

  • You guys need to understand. JKD isn't meant for people who can take it like in UFC. It's literally the way of intercepting fists. This doesn't mean its supposed to be moves that one hit ko someone it's supposed to be stamina draining for the opponent. Also, muaythai kicks have a full range of the JKD style. They can nullify if you time it right. So stop arguing and yes, even though JKD isn't meant to defeat MMA's, Lee can still kick anyones ass, including chuck norris.

  • sure would hate to piss him off

  • Bruce Lee would be proud

  • @StealthAssasin1 well i heard he is a rude bastard so maybe not

  • Jesus christ this guy disassembles mofos.

  • You would rather choose not to fight this chap in a phone box.

  • @TrOLLKiLLeRs1 I see what you mean, he would use footwork to close distance though. The techniques are so compact so that he can dance rings around an opponent and be incredibly deceptive and quick and still maintain full power

  • @mark1983peace

It is refreshing to see one who reads and digests the intent of a comment, thank you so much for enhancing my day. Best regards to you.

  • another wanna be bruce lee.

  • cant stand 10 secs versus mike tyson...

  • This guy is such a good example of JKD,, Bruce LEE's style Jeet Kune Do the best style ever in the martial art life......Just Adore it.. Disciplined and Dangerous!!!

  • 0.50 pretty impressive man

  • fast and powerfull!

  • He is fast strong and accurate. Plus he uses devastating finishes such as the stomp, drawn back punches and strikes to vital areas. Nice!

  • He is very fast. I have much respect for all athletes and all martial arts. Part of me can't help but thinking this guy would be smacked around by a professionnal boxer. That is just my opinion. On the other hand, at least he won't have brain damage from his combat sport!

  • Bruse lee is the fastest and the best martial artist in the world. Is bruse lee everything you can talk about, come on! We will never know, most of us just saw him in movies where he kicks everybody's ass, and therefore he is the best?

  • You know what Chuck Norris could do to this guy?

  • look-a-like wing chung.

  • this guy would straight up destroy kimbo slice lol. i'd like 2 see that

  • this shit looks like wing chun he just put a fancy name for it how great is bruce lee man

  • Guys I dont think Bruce Lee would want anyone of you to compare yourself to each other but better yet explore your strengths.

  • @darbet83 can't find your reply to me in thread so posting it here. I agree with your further explenation now. Thanks for clarifying. I do hope you understand my point that insisting UFC style is a very extreme form of having to "demo". What MMA fanboys don't understand which insist that is it's a bit like saying in order to prove effectiveness of ones shooting ability is to shoot someone.

  • No UFC fighter fights like this [ In real i doubt this guy could do that in the Octagon

  • no jeet kune do!

    as simple as that

  • thats freaking super fast. but do they have power?

  • @abaebae1 the faster something hits you the more it hurts..so yeah they have power

  • @abaebae1

    ke=1/2mv2

In English, kinetic energy equals one half mass times velocity squared. In simpler terms, the energy of your moving fist and arm increases if the weight of your fist increases, but it jumps even more if your fist moves more quickly.

  • @abaebae1 Therefore, if you increase the mass of your hand by 10 percent, you get a straight 10-percent increase in kinetic energy. However, if you increase your hand speed by the same amount, you get a 21-percent increase in kinetic energy. Obviously, hitting with greater speed pays off with slightly more than twice the kinetic energy.

  • @abaebae1 look at it as a car, even with that much size, it has no power when it travels slowly to a person because it has no speed to it, but with full speed and when it hit a person, that person is dead or seriously injured.....

it's just simple logic like throwing baseball to kicking a soccerball.....

to have power when kicking your soccerball, you will need to swing your leg with quick burst of speed to have that power...

  • @sharinganWS yea but what i was thought was..wouldnt a big guy punching fairly slow hurt as much as a skinny small guy punching really fast

  • @abaebae1 k it's like this

say a guy swing a softball bat for good hit, but he just touches the ball with the bat with a very slow swing, the ball would not go very far and will have no power, but if he swings it with proper speed, then the ball will go far with great power.....

and no, just because your big does not mean you are powerful.... this is common logic, like track race....

  • @abaebae1 maybe. but look at bob sapp in k1. he's a big guy but he gets knocked all the time by smaller opponents because he's so slow.

  • he uses some kinda suit when u record ur moves in a computer, does he do this for a game?

  • at 0:36, me like!

  • JKD looks abit like Wing Chun!

  • @MehAwesomess it has wing chun incorporated into it. Wing chun was the first thing Bruce Lee learned before he came to the states.

  • He was a very wise man and he was only 33 when he died. Its amazing how much he knew and could explain or how young he was

  • And JKD isnt used in MMA because it is not designed for it. MMA is more western boxing with submissions added in. its all about guard and taking hits and stamina and ground game. JKD is effective for if your getting mugged of Martial art vs JKD. Thats why most UFC fighters learn Muay Thai which is a fancy way to say kick boxing. And for those people downing bruce lee his style is still more effective and will always will be than most martial arts. and also look at some of his quotes that he said

  • @LinkinParkRJZ Fcukin MMA faggy fanboys think they're experts after watching UFC for a year and wearing the "Tapout" shirts. Imbeciles.

  • @GrandeInter10 i know, i see that shit all the time now...

  • @LinkinParkRJZ Muay Thai is Muay Thai, kick-boxing is not in any way, shape, or form anything like Muay Thai. K-boxing uses SOME aspects of MT (elbows and in some styles hitting with the shin), but most kickboxing is derived from karate, savate, and western boxing. Most JKD students are hypocrites by saying JKD is the "ultimate art" b/c there is no such thing. If anything, modern MMA is more close to what Bruce had in mind as MMA teaches students to adapt to any situation.

  • @TurdFurginson I know JKD is not better than any other martial arts, cause if someone is a master at karate they are going to beat a newbie at JKD. Im just saying it was designed to be a street fighting martial art. Bruce Lee was in in street gangs in Hong Kong and was one of the best fighters over there so he designed his new way to adapt to the many different styles of martial arts he encountered while in his gangs.

  • @LinkinParkRJZ Said perfectly. Bruce Lee learned Wing Chun & Other martital arts and combined what was effective to make it all work.

  • @LinkinParkRJZ THANK YOU!!!! i hate how people say Bruce was the father of MMA. This is completely wrong, seeing as how the basic principles and philosophy of JKD goes against what MMA is. the #1 thing is MMA has rules so fighters train according to them. this makes MMA fighters limited therefor they daily increase not decrease...

  • @LinkinParkRJZ YOU ARE RIGHT..I HAVE TRAINED IN WING-CHUN AND JEET KUN DO EVER SINCE THE AGE OF 7, AND I'AM 50 YRS NOW..AND IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ARM LOCK OR LEG LOCK..OR HAVE ANY OTHER EXPERIENCE IN ANY OTHER MARTIAL ARTS SUCH AS JUDO WRESTLING ETC..YOU WILL NOT WIN..YES I AGREE WITH YOU LINKINPARKRJZ

  • @LinkinParkRJZ and if jeet kune do was used in mma the mma fighters would be owned

  • @LinkinParkRJZ no muay thai is thai boxing

  • @LinkinParkRJZ wait, jdk is not udes in mma because jkd is no effective or just because mma fighters dont like it ?

  • @KoToCoNDoR JKD was developed simply put for street fighting. Lee was a street fighter in Hong Kong and found the best ways to fight many different kinds of people and martial arts styles. In mma its a lot about points and taking hits and openings and stamina of course ground game. JKD is about beating your opponent without taking hits often and using as little energy as possible and what ever way possible. Like moves illegal to mma. But Lee has beaten known boxers (3time uk boxer Gary Elms)

  • @LinkinParkRJZ Spot on

  • @LinkinParkRJZ bruce lees style isnt jkd... bruce lees style is style of no style adapting to what you have to adapt to and not being limited to one style or even multiple styles

  • @LinkinParkRJZ I agree and I couldn't say it any better than myself. But I been seeing videos of the 52 Blocks System. I think its effective only for a street fight. To me the 52 use to much movement in their fighting style and the user will be drained in due time because of it. Also it doesnt have a complete grappling/ground system for a fight

  • @LinkinParkRJZ even bruce lee said himself jkd isnt a style, and that you should be formless, jkd is a guide to understanding the best way to fight, incorporate it into any martial art hence most of the moves from this are wing chun which he studied greatly. a point he made is that this is not a 10 step how to guide when you reed the tao of jeet kune do you will understand if your not stupid. oh and dont belittle muay thai its more than kickboxing its also older the strikes are better + clinches

  • @sketchbomber Finally someone who seems to know something! Like you say, JKD is not a style, it is a concept. And as anyone who has studied both kickboxing and Muay Thai seperately (i.e. not Muay-Thai-Kickboxing or a combined, watery version) knows, Muay Thai isn't anything like kickboxing lol

  • @WellyzPancake thanks, saying kickboxing is like muay thai ... well you might as well chuck savate and sanda into the same category or even bokator from cambodia :P they are all different! i say learn as many forms or as little as you like if you use jkd it should be to forget all separate forms and styles and just fight using all your skill not divided but as a singularity. it may be a crude way to say it but dont think just fight!

  • no groin shots are part if thats what it takes for you to get the upper hand. its using whatever is effective for that moment in time, and that only. there is no jeet kune do routine or "form." its combination of the most effective moves for combat and no flashy moves. its all expression of ones self

  • 0:50 -> LOL

  • I also dont like the thought of "WELL IF ITS REAL THEN DO UFC" etc etc. Thats a good argument but MMA has many rules, for all its actual striking in the sport. Practical arts like JKD are mostly composed of nasty stuff to put your man down in as fast and final way as possible thats going to get you DQed from a fight in a ring. In a competition sense it'd be hamstrung and do poorly. In a real life event, a good practitioner stands a damn goeodhance of ending a fight fast and mean.

  • @shkotay so JKD is groin shots and such?

  • @shkotay so i JKD only effective with shots to the nuts?

  • I dont know. This guy is fast and a lot of JKD is moving on the attack instantly, trapping and forestalling your opponent while getting your hits in. This guy also doesnt move like a dancer. I think he'd be able to hold his own pretty easily. How good a teacher is he? Not a clue, but loads of fast sharp short shots make a hell of a good offense no matter what art you do. This guy does em.

  • all i hear is what Bruce Lee says, well people what about what you say? what works for u? he's dead that wont change so people start making modifications to your techniques and apply apply to real life h=gosh life changes what he did back then wont work now as good as it did people need to let go of his methods and just focus on his concepts.

  • Thats my teacher you talking about

  • @Threeyoungbloods no your not i know his students they act nothing like u, u already posted bs about breaking my face in when its obvious u will never even meet me thats called wasted time bs from kids if you want to start training thats great but if you act like that when ur good ull get fucked in the ass. walk on

  • @Threeyoungbloods WHO CARE LEARN FROM HIM AND DISPOSE OF HIM LEARN FROM ANOTHER YOUR STUCK TO JUST HIM SO U WILL ONLY KNOW HIM :D

In other words dude out grow him man and post a vid u you doing stuff to see how good a teacher he is ive never seen one of his students acually practice only him and to be honest all i see( is one punch from u and skill from him with out you reacting like in a real fight)

  • If you see this guy in the Underground and are thinking about mugging him,

    don't bother

  • 截拳道 JKD

  • Bruce Lee is Chuck Norris' only fear

  • He can and will kick your ass.

  • can someone send him to ufc :D

  • @RainerderOchse he'll die there lol

ive never seen him really fight someone or his students just example

    >>>> ( i punch..ok stop skill show off ok now fall)

  • crazy skills!

  • Bruce Lee would be proud.

  • bruce works out for at least 13 hours a day

  • mommy, i wanna be a tommy carruthers when i grow up!

  • is he really fuckin these guys up?? like the guy in the bog?? it must be a re enactment or sumthin silly

  • @BigBaggaBlues haha yeah it's on his little clips - re-enactment is exactly what it is ;) WHAT to do in that situation so to say :P

  • i think Jeet kune do is difficult to learn.

The bodyshould be less fat and muscle's tensility should be very high!

    dexterous

  • soooooo many people jalouse here,hahaha..and all of fat guy with pizza, cold beer and pc games,LMAO

  • believe 1 strike means nothing it can finish a fight but there are man who can take 2,3 or 4 of your punshes and all you do is make them more aggressive i have also seen a guy get kicked in the groin but he dont care after that he finished the karate guy of with normal boxing punshes in a fight you have no time for think about like after my bong sao i use 3 punshes 1 elbow and a palm strike or something cause you never know when and where the other is punshing you

  • does Bruce justice

  • I heard loads of mma have offered him out, but he didn't want to fight, I dont blame him, these mma ken and barbie lookas dotn do it for me, but still he sould stand up to jkd honor, Bruce would have fought, but then, 99.9% of all trainnee suck arse at it. And I really dont no why they do it.

  • @extremeripped Bruce was very clear that the elite do not compete. So I doubt Bruce would have fought and in reality it would not work because MMA cannot work outside their set of rules JKD has no rules only life saving skills

  • This is Tommy Carruthers isnt it? (Sorry if thats not spealt right!)

Was he taught under Bruce lee because i dont know another human who has the same kind of determination he was showing.

  • @PelinalWhitestrake why everyone think he show some special skills many people can do this if you train the same moves 100 of times you do it same speed, fact is in real fight you have no time for some moves like this cause noone will stand still and let you hit him till your 100 move punch is finish.

  • @CenrionPrime Well no thats not true, the guy trains like this, so he will fight like this. You use what you know in a fight and this guy knows jeet kune do so he will fight like he demonstrates. And in all fairness he would have time for those moves against one guy, because the minute one strike got through its over just like any fighting style will teach you to do, set yourself up for the finishing strike unless you can get it in first.

  • thats guys a fuckin machine lol

  • So what?! Who cares guys...the man kicks ass all the way!

    You rock tommy!

  • thos kicks to the stomach r gonna do fuck all

  • isn't it more like wing chun :?

  • @fireballd12 it a HYBRID FIGHTING SYSTEM was founded by Bruce Lee in 1967 with direct straightforward movements.Jeet Kune Do is primarily an open hand system. The system works on the use of different 'tools' for different situations. These situations are broken down into ranges (Kicking, Punching, Trapping, & Grappling). Also, it is referred to as a "style without style". Unlike more traditional martial arts,Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned it is a philosophy with guiding thoughts.

  • whats better to learn first, Jeet kune do or Wing chun??

  • @UTubeManiacKid

    learn both

  • @UTubeManiacKid there is no answer to that question because JKD is a concept - a philosophy to how YOU approach your martial arts practice. The other is a traditional martial art style which you learn to preserve it the way it is understood to have been originally practiced.

  • awsome vid. makes me wanna do jeet kune do. iv jst tryd out muay thai kickboxing, now i wanna try all sorts lol.

  • dude it takes years to learn it

  • damn blowen my mind i wana lern it:)

  • @ronniecary ...check out ron balicki and his JKD video instruction series...he's an awsome instructor and his sifu is Dan Inosanto!...One of Bruce Lees best students and friends...also check out American Kenpo Karate...very similar!

  • @thesandman8989 nah, American Kenpo Karate is a forms oriented art. Basically its just Okinawan Karate which uses American English language instead of pretending your Okinawan or Japanese. IMHO it should have gone two steps further - dropped half of the forms and stuck with one step practice and changed the uniform to modern work out clothing in order to be truely "american".

  • talk about a bruce lee freak!!!!! this guy is pretty awesome wish i could learn jeet kune do

  • damn! now if only he can do that in real life... or at least sparring.

  • @rockytabs Tommy himself always said, you dont spar, you fight at his school

  • nice demo....now go and make some video showing you fighting full contact fighters/champions!!! then that will impress me when you take those guys down.....

  • @darbet83 full contact is a short term profession for those who don't have to go to work the next day in a suit and tie. So assanine MMA fanboy comments like that darbet show you to be a clueless kid.

  • @robocoastie my comment is valid,,,,this guy does here an impressive demo as .mma stuff and other full contact sport athletes are impressive to watch......a guy like this would impress me by taking out same weight class mma fighters..and as this guy here has some nice skill i would like to see that in practice(not demo) and it would impress me indeed. I do Chidokan and demos are good in practice so is training but u need 2 practice wit real contact to learn 4 real as is very different than demos

  • I like this guy.

  • wao jeet kune can so fast huh the hands wow .. impressed i wonder how bruce lee even can master all that

  • @clh1996

u think bruce lee cant do anything in this vid??

    brother,

bruce lee created jeet kune do,

how ever fast these people are, bruce lee is 100 times faster, more powerful...
